Saturday: Race Time

Sunlight streamed through the hotel window as Hunt awoke. Getting himself out of bed he stumbled into the bathroom to begin his morning routine.
'Brush my teeth, check.' he thought to himself.
'Take a shower, check'
In the kitchen he prepared himself some eggs, a glass of milk, and some apple slices. Wolfing it down he got into his teamwear, a deep green polo shirt with the words 'Jaguar Panasonic Racing Team' stitched in gold across it.
The paddock was lively to say the least, with media hoping to get photos to fans lining up to get autographs from their favorite drivers. After spending a bit of time doing autographs he left for his garage.
*Time skip*
Hunt sat in his car waiting for the 10 minute warning to hit. There was a little radio static before the voice of his engineer came over.
Engineer: Radio Check! Radio Check
Hunt: All clear!
Engineer: Copy.
"To five red light... and its lights out and away we go! Bottas gets away well, Norris move to cover him off as they go into turn on, and just behind them, Verstappen goes round the outside of Stroll in the Aston Martin, that becomes the inside line for the next turn and through he goes into 3rd."
Hunt's POV:
The lights went dark as Hunt geared the car up into first, the roar of the engine filling his ears, getting a better start then Riccardo across from him, the two had a drag race down into turn 1 which Hunt won and moved up into 11th. Into turn 1, Hunt contemplated a dive but when Perez preemptively moved to the inside he backed out.
Engineer: That P11. Perez 0.4 ahead. Riccardo is 0.6 behind and battling Ocon.
George's POV:
The lights when out as Russell put the car into first gear before then going up the gears, immediately he challenged Leclerc for 8th into turn 1 but was forced to back out after meeting the solid defense of the Ferrari.
Engineer: Hunt behind fighting for 11th, Perez 0.5 behind.
Hunt's POV
Engineer: Russell is in this lap.
Hunt: Copy

"In comes Leclerc, Perez, Russell, Vandorne and the race leader Lando Norris. The pit stop window is 10-15 laps on the red wall soft tire."
"And in comes Valtteri Bottas, a ok stop for the Finn, but the question remains will he come out ahead of Lando. Here he comes, the McLaren barreling down the straight, down into turn one, its going to be close and into turn one they go, Norris on the outside, Bottas on the inside as the two go into turn one and OH NO! Norris has gone round! Bottas is off to the side! As we watch the replay again and we can see, Bottas understeers deep into the corner and goes right into the rear tire of Norris, and round he goes. So now with the two front runners with damage surely they have to pit again. This leaves Max Verstappen in a net P1, Lance Stroll in a net P2 and Pierre Gasly in a net P3 once the two make their stops."
Hunt's POV
Engineer: Yellow Flag in Turn 1. Yellow Flag. Lots of debris
Hunt: What happened?
Engineer: Norris and Bottas had an accident into 1. Bottas hit Norris.
Hunt: What a shame. Lando could have gotten something good.
Engineer: Yeah.
George's POV:
Engineer: Yellow Flag! Lando and Bottas had an accident into 1. Lots of debris on the track
George: OK
Engineer (to both drivers): Bottas and Norris are in that's P7 for George and P9 for Hunt.
"As into turn 10 we watch Gasly hound down Stroll, and he just blows by, the moves done well before the braking zone. But as we go down the main straight, with the aid of DRS Stroll comes back at Gasly as into turn one they go, Stroll brave on the brakes but maybe a little too brave as he goes deep into the corner and Gasly gets the position back."
Engineer: Box Box Box.
Hunt: Copy
"In comes Hunt, along with the rest of the medium tire runners. a fast pitstop from Jaguar to keep Hunt ahead of the back. Hunt comes out P9 and keeps his place."
Engineer: Pit strategy complete. See these tires to the end.
"As in comes most of the top 10 for their 2nd and last pitstop from the 20 lap old mediums to a set of hards to the end of the race."
Engineer: so currently we're in P10. The next car we're racing is Ocon
"As we watch on Ocon getting swarmed, Leclerc on one side and Russell on another, as into the braking zone, Ocon doesn't put up a fight and waves them by. And now Russell is trying a move on Leclerc, as down the inside he goes and he get 2 for 1"
Engineer: Good job that P12. Next car up is your teammate.
Hunt's POV
Engineer: The car behind is you teammate, you are not on the same strategy, concede the position and let him by.
Hunt: Copy.
"As Russell closes in on his teammate his teammate moves over and lets him by."
Engineer: Thank you. Stay within DRS and hold up Leclerc.
Hunt: Alright.
"Into turn 1, Leclerc on Hunt! Down the inside the Ferrari goes but Hunt squeezes him all the way to the edge of the apex and Leclerc is forced to back out. But with DRS down the next straight, Hunt is left a sitting duck as Leclerc waltzes on by, but that's not the end as Hunt switches to the inside and sends it DOWN THE INSIDE and the two bang tires quite similarly to the way they did in Australia a few weeks back."
Engineer: Good Defense. Keep it up.
"As Max Verstappen round the final bend, HE CLAIMS HIS FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON."
Max: YES! COME ON! LETS GO!
Horner: Well done Max. What a drive.
"But behind him its a drag race to the line, for 2nd, Gasly and Stroll reach the line... it too close to tell... as the telemetry comes in, its, its GASLY SECOND AND STROL THRID. 18 thousandth of second separating the two!"
Hamelin: P2! P2! GOOD JOB PEIRRE!
Gasly: YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO! WHAT A RACE! YES!
Whitmarsh: And that P3! Well done Lance.
Stroll: YES! LETS GO!
Engineer: P8! P8! Good job!
Russell: YES! Car was amazing today. Thank You!
Engineer: P9! P9!
Hunt: Not the greatest but at least we got points.
