He was a monster, but they had created him, and he was bad. Alanor was the kind of evil that no dictionary even had a description for yet. 

He had vowed against Udrad's peace until he got his revenge, and no one would stop him, not even the mate the fates had forced on him.

As the trio sat, waiting for morning to come, it seemed like the beast of the midlands was having a field day at the expense of everyone. The second growl in the night had left the king harmed and everyone had fled the party.


It was easier for them to go home, than stay around and wait for the beast of the midlands to show up again. Besides, the beast had no qualms with the citizens of the midlands unless they had harmed the children, but then, up until today, no child was harmed.


People had thought he would come to the aid of the rejected mates and force their mates to accept them, but having rejected his mate himself, the beast of the midlands wouldn't be that selfish with the other people.


He had run away from his bond so it wasn't right to force people who didn't wasn't to be bound to others or even people who had been mated to murderers.
