"What of my first child, Cris. What about my little wolf?" Nymeriah asked and Criselda looked at her sister. Nymeriah wanted to know where her other son was and that was something Criselda couldn't tell her, at least not before they went to Udrad.

Nymeriah needed to come to terms with the fact that her son was alive and he was actually in her presence. She had yearned for him for so long, and when she had seen the birthmark on his chest earlier, Nymeriah knew it was him.

She had just been scared that her son wouldn't want her to be around him, so she had gotten into her theatrics. But Nymeriah couldn't help but think that Alanor knew there was something more. Her son had assumptions, and it would not be good if she got even closer to him.

"Nymeriah—" Criselda began but Usman rushed to them, interrupting their discussion. Nymeriah broke the sound barrier and they turned to look at the human who was waiting for them.
