Well, That Was Fast

[ALANOR]

"Heide—" Ulrike began once the warlock warriors had left.

The high priest was distraught and angry. He was experiencing all kinds of emotions right now. He was confused as to why and how this had happened. He had over the love of his life in one day and nothing would ever make it better.

Maybe time would, but then they were blessed with long lives.

Heide had promised to take care of his wife until their last days. He had promised to never leave her side and yet as he sat and watched the outcome of the harsh storm, the high priest couldn't help but think that he had failed.

All he ever wanted was to see his woman happy and instead, he got to see her dead.

"I'm okay, Ulrike. Don't worry about me," Heide said the same words that Alanor had been used to saying. They were the words that screamed out for help. The words that wanted too that life was about to change and not in the nicest of ways.
