"I just wish the pains could ease up on him, or we could share some of his pain. It just breaks me to see him that defenseless and torn like the world has no meaning anymore. 

"I hate this feeling of being helpless and useless to the kid," Zelina sighed as they continued watching the young Wynter. He was so close to snapping and maybe that was all they wanted. 

They wanted to see him snap and face the horrors of his reality himself. They wanted to make sure that even if he snapped, which had been inevitable, they would always be around him to do the damage control. That way, it would be easier to explain, right?

"No, don't. Alanor… don't do that son," Heide suddenly said to Alanor, while Uleirke and Zelina looked at him, wondering what the high priest was on about. Maybe he was finally joining the kid in his madness?

But when they saw that Heide was insistent, they knew there was only one thing left for them to do.
