Babysitter Liam = babysitting problems -1d medical

"Alright Liam we'll be away for a few months so we want you to take care of Lizzy when we're away. Am I clear?" Liam's mother exclaimed.

You see Liam's parents where going on a vacation WITHOUT HIM NOR LIZZY.

"Yes mom I know what I'm supposed to do," Liam said annoyed. Them being away meant for Liam not going out in the weekends. Don't get him wrong here because he loves his sister with his whole heart only he was a healthy teenager who needed to go out with friends every now and then.

"Alright then we're leaving. Lizzy is sleeping right now so let her sleep so her joints get rest. You better make sure nothing happens to her when we're away," his mother told him while his father was packing their luggage in the car.

Liam never thought he could hate people this much as he did his parents at the moment. When his mother kissed him on the cheek he just huffed and pulled away.

His mother gave him instead of a kiss a slap on the cheek.

"You're such a brat," his mother spotted to him and left with no word said anymore.

Liam slammed the door shut and let himself slowly sliding against the doorpost.

"I HATE YOU!" he yelled to the people who weren't even there anymore.

Liam pulled his knees to his body and started to cry. He was so busy with crying he didn't hear his little sister coming down the stairs, he only knew she was there when he felt two little arms around him.

"Li Li, don't cry," Lizzy told him. Liam looked up and saw the brown eyes and withe curls of his 7 year old sister. Liam opened his arms and Lizzy came sitting in his lap.

Lizzy wasn't just a normal girl. From the outside she was but she got a condition where she got severe dislocations and with that she got autism as well.

"Li Li you should wake wake Lizzy now, so Lizzy goes back to bed and then Li Li wakes Lizzy," she exclaimed. She got up from his lap and ran up the stairs. Liam couldn't help but laugh at it. He got up and went to Lizzy her bedroom. He slowly opened her door and had to laugh at the sight. Lizzy had pulled the covers over her head and had hidden for Liam.

"Hey beautiful I came to...." Liam paused to please his sister, "Huh I really thought Lizzy would've been here but that isn't the case I see. Alright then I'll leave and eat pancakes all by myself." Liam waited for Lizzy to jump up from her hiding place. It didn't took a second for Lizzy to give her hiding spot away.

"Pancakes," she screamed. She started jumping on her bed but landed wrong. She started to scream for Liam.

"Lizzy what's wrong," Liam told her while he came rushing to her side. Liam perfectly knew what was wrong because he saw her knee dislocating but he wanted Lizzy to tell it herself. "Knee of Lizzy went out," she said whimpering of the pain she was in. Liam gave her a hug. "Can Liam check your knee for a bit princess?" Liam asked her. Lizzy just nodded and had stuck her thumb into her mouth. Liam took a look at Lizzy her knee and saw that it was swollen and turning purple, this meant that her kneecap had already popped back in place.

"Oke Lizzy, you're knee isn't out anymore," Liam said while he kissed Lizzy on her head. Lizzy came snuggling in her brothers side.

Liam walked to the closet where Lizzy kept all her braces and stuff in order to keep her joints in place and give them rest.

"Do you want your robot knee?," Liam asked. Lizzy's robot knee actually a brace but Lizzy called it a robot knee because it looked like one.

"Robot knee," she said yawning. Liam nodded and walked up to her with her brace.

"All done," Liam said when he put the brace on Lizzy her knee. "Now Lizzy can do picture," she yelled in excitement. Liam laughed and put Lizzy on his hip to her chart. Since Lizzy has autism she's used to structure. She has her own chart where she places pictograms when she's done something.

"Alright Lizzy should we take the chart downstairs and eat some pancakes?" Lizzy laughed and hugged her brother, she loved him so much.

Lizzy snuggled into her brothers side while Liam walked down the stairs.

"Li Li is Ni Ni coming today?" Lizzy asked while she was cutting her dinosaur pancakes. Liam looked at her at laughed.

"Do you want Ni Ni instead of me? Lizzy I'm deeply disappointed," Liam said laughing only Lizzy didn't see it was sarcasm. Lizzy started to cry and Liam thought she was hurt again. "Lizzy does your knee hurt?" Liam asked. Lizzy just shook her head and that's when it clicked by Liam. Due to her autism Lizzy isn't able to tell whenever people were making jokes or were dead serious.

"Oww no Lizzy I didn't mean it like that. I love you so much," Liam said while he kissed her head. "I'll call Niall," Liam gave in. Lizzy threw her arms in the air of excitement.

"Liam what's wrong why did I have to come," Niall said when Liam opened the door.

"Nothing. It's Lizzy she wanted you," Liam said while he let Niall in.

"Is something wrong with her?" Liam just nodded and pointed to his knee which gave Niall enough information that she dislocated it again.

"Hey Lizzy look who's here?" Liam said while Niall walked in the living. "Hey beautiful, I heard that you got hurt didn't you," Niall said when he sat down next to Lizzy. Lizzy was so into the movie she was watching that she didn't seem to notice Niall who sat down next to her. It was until Niall grabbed her knee and laid it across his lap that she noticed Niall.

"NIALL!" she screamed. She hugged him but was careful not to bent her knee any further.

"Yeah happy to see you to little one," Niall said while he embraced her hug.

"Niall watch with Lizzy. Lizzy watches Nemo."

"That's fine with me. But how about Liam, he can watch as well right?" Niall asked. Lizzy just nodded because she had stuck her thumb into her mouth and had snuggled into the pillows and Niall.

Lizzy was wanting to walk by herself when the movie ended because she wanted to use her leg again.

"Li can Lizzy walk on knee?" she questioned her brother.

Liam looked up from his phone and saw his sister sitting there and looking sad at him.

"Only if you promise to be very careful," Liam said while walking towards her. Lizzy nodded in excitement.

Niall has lift her from his lap and had set her down on the ground.

"Alright Lizzy do you think you can try to put the chars back in your room?" Liam asked while he handed over Lizzy's chard.

Lizzy kind of wiggled towards the stairs, Niall making sure she didn't fall, and went to her bedroom to do what her brother told.

"Liam I'm upstairs!" Lizzy yelled to the boys downstairs.

When Lizzy wanted to walk if the stairs things got pretty nasty. On the second step her knee gave in so she stumbled the remaining steps down.

Liam and Niall shot up when they heard the noise coming from the stairs.

"Fuck Lizzy," Niall yelled while running towards the scene.

Lizzy laid at the bottom of the stairs, unconscious. "Hey Lizzy, could you open your eyes for me love," Liam said while sitting next to his sister.

Slowly Lizzy opened her eyes to much relieve of Niall and Liam. She immediately started to cry.

"Liam, Lizzy has so much pain," she said while crying her heart out. Liam most definitely knew something wasn't right with her joints.

"Niall get your car ready we need to go to the hospital as we speak," Liam said. He carefully lifted his sister who screamed with even the lightest tough to her joints.

Niall was outside already prepping his car for this terrible ride to the hospital.

Liam went to the living room to get some scissors to cut open Lizzy her pants so he could see the damage to her knee.

When the scissor came in contact with her pants she screamed her heart out.

"Liam that hurts," she cried out. Niall came rushing in because of the scream but sighed in relief when he found out it was just Lizzy who screamed for help.

"Li the car is prepped," Niall said out of breath. Liam simply nodded and carefully lifted his little sister who silently sniffed into her brothers shirt.

"Niall can you close the door behind me," Liam asked while he grabbed some shit from the table by the door making his sure his phone was in his pocket as well.

Niall nodded and closed the door. Not long after that he started running towards his car to open up for Liam.

Once Liam and Lizzy got settled Niall drove towards the hospital in full speed.

"Please help me my sister is in so much pain," Liam told the receptionist when he came running in with a crying Lizzy in his arms.

"Alright sir I need you to calm down and tell me what happened," the receptionist tried to calm Liam down.

"She fell down the stairs and has a condition in which she dislocates her joints at a rapid speed. When she had fallen down she was unconscious for a minute or so."

"Alright sir I'll call the doctor in now and he'll see her. If you could wait here for a moment that would be great," the receptionist told while she ran off to get a doctor.

A minute later she returned with a young looking male who introduced himself as Harry.

"Alright little princess," Harry began when they entered the examination-room, "where are you hurt?"

"Lizzy hurt everywhere," Lizzy answered softly when she snuggled back into Liam's chest.

Niall decided to tell Harry the whole story including her severe autism and dislocations.

"Alright little one I'll call in the real doctor and we'll both have a look at you if that's oke with you," Harry told Lizzy when he got down with her eye level.

Lizzy, who had stuck her thumb into her mouth, nodded.

Harry left in order to return quickly with another doctor who introduced him self as doctor Tomlinson, but they could call him Louis.

"Alright you beauty, I'll lay you down here and then we'll see what we're going to do with you. Does it sound okay to you?" Louis asked Lizzy.

Lizzy nodded and untangled herself from Liam's chest. Louis has gotten her trust pretty fast since Lizzy has a hard time communicating with strangers.

After some exams and a lot of heartbreaking cries from Lizzy later Harry and Louis decided that X-rays should give the final call of what to do next.

"Alright Lizzy, Louis and I will take you to a big machine which will take photos of your bones," Harry started, "and your brother can come to if you want?" Harry regarded this question more to Liam then to Lizzy.

"I think Lizzy will be fine with you guys, maybe she'll get out of her shell more," Liam answered when he came to the side of Lizzy.

Lizzy nodded and made grabbing hands towards Harry. He had put her in a wheelchair to bring her to the x-ray machine just down the aisle.

When pictures where taken Harry returned Lizzy to Liam and Niall who were waiting in the room where he had left them.

"Alright, Louis and I will be discussing the pictures for a moment," Harry told but then his voice got softer because he hoped Lizzy couldn't hear him, "but it looks like we might need surgery and some serious replacements."

Liam and Niall looked at each other in disbelief. Okay she had fallen down the stairs but surgery and being hospitalised wasn't really something they had counted on.

Niall and Liam nodded and waited in agony for Harry and Louis to come back.

Moments later Harry and Louis did return and Louis had a serious look on his face.

"Lizzy," Louis crunched sown in front of her wheelchair, "would you like to go with Harry to the playroom, I heard that you can watch there spongebob." Lizzy got a smile on her face and answered with a big yes.

Harry smiles back at her, but it wasn't just a normal smile but more a sympathetic smile that almost said that this wasn't the only time Lizzy would watch spongebob in that playroom.

Harry got Lizzy her wheelchair and wheeled her down the hallway as Louis closed the door.

"Alright Niall and Liam," he started off, "Lizzy her dislocations are extreme then we thought at first hand when we looked at her. Since Lizzy has a high pain tolerance the extensions of the dislocations where difficult to estimate. When we look at the picture we can say at every joint in her right hand is displaced as well as her right shoulder. Also did she dislocated her hip and both of her kneecaps.

We'll perform a surgery on her hip and her hand and we'll relocate her kneecaps and shoulder while she's under the anestesia."

Liam looked quite shocked at Louis. Niall was the first one who dared to speak.

"But like how long does that surgery take? And how long will she has to stay here?"

"The surgery will take about three to four hours since she's very young and her hand is more difficult to be relocated. After the surgery she'll get orthopaedic cast on her hand and on both of her knees. I'm not to worried about her shoulder because it is already popped back in half. She'll have to wear all cast for about two full months because I don't want to rush it since those dislocations are the most servere ones I've ever seen in my life."

Louis gave Liam and Niall both a sympathetic look when he told them that Lizzy her surgery will be scheduled for in about two hours and that she has to stray for about a week to regain a full recovery.

"We'll bring Lizzy to her room so if you could follow me please," Louis said as he stood up.

Liam and Niall followed. By Niall things were getting clear and that's when he realised his best friends sister, who he saw as his own sister, was actually sick. Of course it crossed Liam's and Niall's mind that one time it would go wrong but they had no idea that it would happen today, not the best timing to be fair. But is there actually a good timing for this then?

Niall silently walked behind Liam and Louis until both of them stopped by a room.

All three of them turned around when they heard the familiar voice of Lizzy.

"Liam," she exclaimed, "Lizzy need chart because Lizzy need picture." Liam looked sad at his sister because he didn't bring her chart.

"We'll do that later okay because Liam forgot your chart baby." Sadness filled Lizzy her eyes but then she smiled because Liam said that they'll do it later so maybe it meant that she could go home.

"Alright Lizzy," Louis said when he walked into the OR, "I hope Harry have told you everything but do you have some questions.

Lizzy, who was already in her hospital dress, nodded at Louis. "Can Lizzy choose the color of Lizzy cast," she asked in excitement.

Louis has to laugh at it as well as Liam who came with Lizzy until she was put under the anestesia.

"What color does this princess want," Louis said while he grabbed the different colours. Lizzy's eyes were scanning the different colour held up before her very carefully but eventually pointed at the pink colour. Louis smiles and nodded while he retained the other colours.

"Alright Lizzy," Louis said, "now you're going in a very deep sleep and when you wake up Liam and Niall and Harry will all be waiting for you."

Lizzy nodded but was quite scared but that's normal because who isn't when they need surgery.

"Alright Lizzy," Louis said when he grabbed a syringe, "I want you to count from 10 to 1, can you do that for me little princess?"

"10,9,8,7,6..." and that's when she went out.

"Alright Liam, it's time for you to leave as well," Louis said when he turned towards Liam.

Liam nodded, gave his sister a kiss and went towards the waiting room.

Niall wasn't there because he was getting their things for the next week they'll be spending here.

Liam got out his phone and wanted to text his parents about what happened but decided eventually not to due to the pain they've going both of them by leaving for God knows how long.

"Liam," a soft but scrappy voice was to be heard in the room. Liam shot up and saw his sister was slowly waking up from the anestesia.

"Lizzy loves Liam," she said and with that Liam had fallen into her arms crying and hugging her. Not much later Niall walked in and saw that Lizzy was up. He smiled at the sight and thought this was the right time to tell Lizzy about Niall and Liam about them.

"Umm Liam should we just," Niall didn't finish but pointed at Lizzy.

Liam got the hint and tapped at the empty spot next to him for Niall to sit down.

"Alright Lizzy we want you to know something," Liam started off quite nervous, "Niall and I are together for a long time and are moving in together and since I don't trust mommy and daddy you could move in with us. Do you like that?"

Liam was quite scared for Lizzy her reaction since she wasn't used to changes.
