Chapter 22

Miss Jenkins walked me through the debris that used to be my home. I stepped over items I had seen every day of my life.

Peering up the stairs, I saw the steel box I was kept in when it was time to learn a lesson or be punished for being a bad kid.

We turned towards the basement entrance that was covered with charred wood and other pieces of the house that were unidentifiable.

She stopped me at the opening of the basement, "I need you to remain calm. What I found is something of great significance and will change the course of your life forever."

Sarah went upstairs and fiddled around with random toys that weren't destroyed while Brute and Sarah's Father stayed outside waiting and watching for anything out of the ordinary.

As we proceeded down the stairs, I could sense a great deal of happiness and my body began to glow an aura of yellow.

I didn't know what it meant. It had never happened before. Time would tell.

Miss Jenkins guided me by my hand. I had never felt compassion like this before.

We turned the corner at the bottom of the stairs and my eyes couldn't comprehend what I was seeing.

Miss Jenkins grabbed my hand tighter, I think it was her attempt to calm me.

In front of me were see through capsules, three of them.

Each contained names above them.

Old Man Johnson.

Eva Anderson.

Erica Anderson.

The capsules had a monitor setup beside them, showing vital signs.

I didn't need those monitors, I scanned all three occupants. They were all healthy and in a medically induced coma.

When I scanned Eva and Erica their DNA came back as an exact match to mine.

Erica was slightly younger than me, age eight. Eva was older, about thirty eight.

My scan revealed Eva was my Mom and Erica was my sister.

My Mom was not dead as my Dad had lead me to believe. She was perfectly fine.

Miss Jenkins released all three from the capsules. As the fresh oxygen reached their lungs they were fully revived.

My Mom immediately began to cry and embraced me.

I was glowing, lighting up the entire room a bright shade of yellow.

She took one look at me and began to glow as well, "Son, I want you to meet your little sister, Erica."

Erica approached me carefully having never met me before. She embraced Mom and we all began to glow yellow.

We were all humans with abilities.

Miss Jenkins left us, took Sarah outside and waited with her husband and Brute.

My family exited the house and met up with the Jenkins family.

My Mom addressed the Jenkins, "Thank you so much for protecting my boy. We are eternally grateful."

Miss Jenkins smiled, "It was our pleasure. He is quite the good kid and obviously he and all of you are very special."

Miss Jenkins continued, "We have to address the Director and your husband. This situation is far from over."

My Mom nodded and looked at Erica and me, "With the three of us and the Jenkins family, we will be able to handle anything they throw at us."

With my family back together all was restored and right with the world.

All we had to do now was decide what to do with my Dad and the Director.
