We just moved in to a new city after returning from spectacular voyage to Germany. The new city was strikingly wonderful with many attractive parks and friendly people. It was my fourteenth birthday and I eagerly waited for the afternoon to arrive.
It had been a week since we arrived here so the guests were just our family friends. My parents gifted me a shiny gem filled bracelet. I loved it! My parents told to keep it as it was really special one. My parents and my family friends shared their expenses on it. I t was extremely costly.
Ding Dong!, then came the sound of the bell. Who was that? A chill ran through my spines. I kept my warm, soft and smooth hands on the cold door knob. I peered outside and saw a guy, cute much, kinda taller than me. He was smiling at me.
"Hi! My name is Flynn and I am your new neighbour, and i heard that it was someone's birthday? So I just came over to,"
"Umm yeah it is my birthday." I interrupted.
It felt nice hearing someone unknown wishing me, so I just let him in. Hardly anyone other than friends knew about it. it felt strange but I didn't mind it.
I enjoyed talking with him. We went to the backyard while my parents and everyone else enjoyed. He kept staring at the bracelet which I was around my wrist.
"I have seen that somewhere" Flynn said with a suspicious look on his face
The leaves waved the wind. I smelled a rat. He kept his hands in his pocket as if he was holding something inside. Curiosity got the better of me, so I asked him what was inside his pocket. Unexpectedly, his face turned fuming. He turned to an angry alligator. From his pocket came out a polished knife. I ran as fast as I could towards the entrance of my door. However I tripped over a stone and the cross had fallen down.
"No, no, no" I thought.
I was panicking. Flynn was close enough to seize my thigh, but I quickly grabbed the bracelet and reached inside my house. Everyone stared at me and there was a dead silence. I was out of breathe. I told everyone what had happened. Flynn was outside, banging on the door like a mad dog. My dad called the police and we later found that he was the boy who had escaped jail. He was kept there for harming and stealing people's items. I realised the bracelet was a sign of good luck. It was indeed a special gift.
A year later...
I sat in the sofa alone at home. Feeling the boredom overruling me I decided to watch TV
"It was found that the 20 yr old Flynn Woods had escaped jail last night. He was convicted as a robber and a stalker. The police are now trying their best -
Ding Dong!
