Chapter 11 - Alone

"Your dad said you went to Elodie's house" mom murmured. She looked sleepy.

"Well tell me, Why does papa always believe strangers!" I blurted.

"What else could he do dear? He has to go to work tomorrow, but still he came to pick you up. Now when we goes there he sees you missing. But that friendly boy managed to come up saying you went to Elodie's house." she spoke.

Hahahahaha. Friendly? Flynn compared to a friendly boy? Never knew my mom's jokes was that funny.

"By the way what happened to your gown -"

"Mom it's nothing, I was just searching for Elodie. Some people said she went outside, so the rain, dirt and all." I emphasized.

"Ok dear have your dinner after changing!" She declared.

I dragged myself again to my room, shut the door and went to the bathroom to wash myself.I wore a t-shirt and short. After all that, I charged my phone and went to have my dinner. Grilled Fish. Later, finishing my dinner I washed the plates then tiptoed to my room. It was 10pm, quite late, thus everyone was fast asleep. I brushed my teeth, and hugged the bed.

"I missed you buddyyy." I don't know why I said that. The weather was chilly all out of a sudden, so I snuggled myself in the blankets cocooning myself with it. I turned the light of my table lamp off and drifted to sleep.

Another day to survive.

"Addilyn! wake up!" My mom gushed. Ma there's nothing to be happy about, just a normal day to school. I tried opening my eyelids and adjust to the brightness of the sun rays reaching to my room. I felt the warmth of it as I slid the blanket away. I checked my phone which was now 100% charged. Probably my mom turned off the charger. She wakes up like 7 times in the night. I woke up to see 10 messages awaiting me to reply. As I opened it I saw too unknown messages. I opened the first one.

Hey Addilyn, Cason here, the guy who dropped you at your apartment.

Aww ... didn't expect him to remember me. Thought he would have been busy with his work and his girlfriend if he had one.

Just wanted to say...umm....it was nice meeting you.

You changed the way I felt for myself and by change I mean it in the positive way.

Could we like, meet some day? I mean it's completely your choice, I know your busy and stuff and maybe our schedules won't match....just text or call me anytime.

Ok that was fast. I didn't know how to react. Why does he want us to meet. I'm just an ordinary girl striving her best in school and studies. I exited his messages and went to see the other unknown messages.

Elodie and Alora isn't it? But I love seeing them so weak as I torture them everyday wanting to know more about you.

"Addilyn, come fast for breakfast!" my mom screamed.

"Yea."

I went to the bathroom and took a shower following the routine. Finishing breakfast, left the apartment with my brother and went into the school bus.

Sigh, It felt so lonely. I always would meet the girls either laughing or gossiping but now, they are captured by the person who wanted to attack me a year ago, whom I met last night in the ball but still no guts to inform the police or my parents about it.

I sat beside the window thinking what all gruesome things he would be doing to Elodie and Alora.

"Hey" I turned to see Kaiden.

"Hi" I said with a frown.

"You okay? Oh, your friends must be boring. How come both of them..."

"I don't know" I replied quickly.

He looked at the vacant place at my seat.

"You can sit" I told.

He gave a smile and gladly sat beside me.

"So, I guess we are the only ones in our bio group."

"What about Josiah?" I gasped.

"Well he didn't come too."

Not being surprised. I knew what happened to him and it was the same thing that had happened to Elodie and Alora.

The ride to school was silent. I strolled in the hallway towards my locker. I unlocked it and what was in it dismayed me. I covered my mouth not to permit any voice to escape.

The locker was filled with pictures of me. I could tell that some of them was from my social media. Then there was an peach coloured envelope neatly sealed. There it was printed in cursive:

From : 𝔁𝓵𝔁𝔁𝔁

I tore the side of the envelop and pulled out pictures of ME! Some of them were of me sleeping with blankets, others were of me studying. But the most disturbing one were of me in my towel after taking shower. The bell rang so I pushed my bag in and ran to the hall where the assembly took place. The principle started giving off lectures saying how succesful the ball went and all the students giving claps which were so fake for they seemed to be uninterested in anything the principle said.

When bio class came I was all down despondent. Kaiden and me were both separated temporarily with the other groups since we two were not enough.

Finally when school got over I went to my locker, took all the pictures of me which were placed everywhere in my locker and kept them in my bag. I ran into the school bus and sat alone again. My brother was busy talking to his friends so, nevermind.

"Hey mom!" I shouted.

"Hey sweety, how was school?"

"Well Elodie and Alora was absent so..."

"Oh must've been boring"

" Yea."

"Addilyn dear, I wanted to tell something important to you. Me and your dad will have to go to back to our country since there are some account work and important business to be done. Well will be gone for a week."

"A WEEK? Ma why are you leaving us. I can't bear with Aiden."

"Dear, your matured and he is too, i'm sure you both will be able to take care of yourself. Besides we would have surely taken both of you if it wasn't because of your school." she kissed me in my forehead.

"When are you going?" I said.

"The flight is at 10pm so we will leave by 7pm."

"Ok"

They had to leave early since we lived far from the airport.

I took a shower, had lunch and started to text Elodie.

Me:

Elodie, are you there?

I hope everythings fine.

Don't worry, I will be coming soon.

Just make sure everything's okay with you, Alora, Rayna and Josiah.
