Future of the Force

Axle's POV

Ahsoka and I are in our quarters on the Predator. It's been a few weeks since we were connected through the force. All that we have been working on now is letting our destiny aid the Chosen One prophecy. The three Wolves of the Force, The Grey Wolf, The White Wolf, and The Black Wolf will help the Chosen One to fulfill the prophecy and bring balance to the force.

We've been monitoring transmissions about the Sith Lord for more information about him, but to no avail. Ahsoka and I both know who Vader really is. We still follow Master Qui-Gon's explanation that Anakin will bring balance to the force. That gives Ahsoka and I hope that our old friend is still alive.

Even though we have found nothing from the Dark Lord, we have uncovered more information about the Inquisitors. Apparently there are more than just five. I killed the Second Brother, Ahsoka killed the Sixth Brother, and Kanan killed the Grand Inquisitor. The Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother are still chasing us. It's just insane to learn that there are over ten of these Jedi Hunters.

It was late in the night. We are both super tired, but kept looking through data. Ahsoka was resting her head against her hands and continued to scroll through. I almost passed out several times. I have multiple headaches from not sleeping in days. The only light in the room was the holo-table displaying information.

"I found something." I heard Ahsoka say. I opened my eyes from almost passing out again and walked over to her, "What is it?" She lifted her tired hand up to point at the words as she spoke, "It looks like the Inquisitors have another mission to make retrievals." I looked at the data for a moment, "Hmm, It doesn't say what for." "Whatever the Inquisitors want we have to keep their hands off of." Ahsoka said. Her voice was extremely tired. I turned off the holo-table and wrapped my hand around her, "We'll talk to Kanan in the morning about it. Let's just get some sleep." We let the bed pull us down. "I don't even have the strength to get these clothes off." Ahsoka laughs a little. I kiss her, "I'm too tired for that anyway." We both were fast asleep within the next minute.

...............................................................

Ahsoka and I entered the Ghost's spaceport. Kanan greets us on the ramp of the ship, "Hey guys what's up?" I answered first, "Hey buddy. We've gotta talk." "What we have to say is Jedi business." Ahsoka finishes. We walked onto the ship and into Kanan's quarters.

Ahsoka closed the door, "We've been monitoring transmissions from Mustufar to find out more about the Sith Lord." "And?" Kanan asked. "Information about him alludes us. But we have learned more about his Inquisitors." I answered. "It seems they have a secondary mission to make retrievals." Ahsoka adds. Kanan thought for a second, "We know they hunt Jedi. So what else are they after?" Ahsoka and I looked at each other, "At this point we can only guess. But good news is we have managed to decode two sets of coordinates. We're on our way to investigate the first one." "And you want me to check out the second. I'm in." Kanan finished. I put his hand on his shoulder, "You should bring the kid. Ezra can learn from this experience." Kanan laughed, "He's already briefed on the mission." as he opens the door and Ezra falls forward. I laughed. "Hey they did say this was Jedi business." Ezra said, picking himself off the floor. "Bring Zeb too. He's proved himself against the Inquisitors before." Ahsoka laughed. Ezra smiled, "So where are we going?" I smirked at Ahsoka, "Remember when we were his age?" Ahsoka smirked back, "Do I ever."

...............................................................

Ahsoka and I drop out of hyperspace in their A-wings. "Look. Something attacked that shuttle." I said, flying next to her. "Now why would Inquisitors attack a civilian shuttle?" Ahsoka asked. I thought for a moment, "I don't know. Be on guard." I warned as we docked.

They opened the blast doors. Dark hallways and destroyed pieces of the ship were everywhere. We walked down the hall not letting their guard down. "What happened here?" I asked looking around. Ahsoka knelt down looking at lightsaber marks all over the walls. I looked over at her, "Oh....Great."

After walking for a few more minutes we rounded a corner. "I don't think they're here. They would have attacked by now." I said. "Then if they're not here, they're heading for the next location." Ahsoka thinks out loud. I sighed, "Well I hope Ezra learned how to use his lightsaber more." A voice then echoed off the walls, "Help." We rush over to where the sound came from. It was an old woman on the ground. "Ma'am everything is going to be ok. Are you injured?" I asked, helping her sit up. "No. I don't think so." She answered. Ahsoka sat next to her, "Can you tell us what happened?" "My grandchild." the old woman answered. "Grandchild?" Ahsoka said, a little confused. The woman continued, "They took her. Two red blades. They knew...that she has it. Find her. She has it." The woman slowly passed out. I stood up and looked away. "Axle, what's wrong?" Ahsoka looked at me. "The Inquisitors took a child and the grandmother says she has it. They're after force sensitive children." I whipped around in surprise. Ahsoka had the same look. "We need to get to Kanan now!" I finished as we ran toward our ships. I contacted Chase to come and pick up the shuttle.

3RD Person

The Inquisitors walk toward the hangar door after incapacitating the three specters. The doors slowly opened. Axle and Ahsoka emerged from the bright light and stopped in front of Ezra. Axle smirked at the red blades, "How you doin?" The Inquisitors stared in awe for a few seconds, "Unexpected, but not unwelcome." They two Gray Jedi force pull their sabers to their hands and ignite them. Civilians stared at them from the shadows, "Jedi?" they whispered all around. "We got this kid." Axle said not taking his eyes off the red blades. "Ezra, get the child to the ship." Ahsoka said, winking at him. "I got the brute." Axle said, staring at the fifth brother. "And I got crazy." Ahsoka smirked back. They attacked. The red blades stood absolutely no chance against two fully grown Gray Jedi. "I swear, you need like five of you in order to make this somewhat even." Axle mocked as he continued to make the fifth brother look like a fool. The civilians kept staring at the duel still stunned that survivors have revealed themselves and are now engaging the empire. This shows the civilians that hope is not yet lost and the Empire did not win just yet.

After purposefully going easy on the two Inquisitors, Ahsoka and Axle nodded at each other thinking that they should end the fight now. Axle force pushed the fifth brother away and disengaged his sabers. The fifth brother charged him as Axle just stood still. The red blade then came down on his position, but as quick as light, Axle corkscrewed over the Inquisitor and grabbed the red blade right out of his hands. The fifth brother turned around in shock. Axle threw the saber aside and force pushed the Inquisitor into a wall. Ahsoka defeated the Seventh sister with ease as well. They pointed their blades at the two defeated Inquisitors, "You are beaten." The Seventh sister just laughed as imperial reinforcements approached them, "Looks like you are the one who is beaten." Ahsoka just smirked at them then to Axle. Axle smirked back, "Watch this." he taunted the red blades and walked in front of the approaching imperials. He closed his eyes and focused his light energy in his right hand. He then focused his dark energy in his left hand. A force light shock wave ball of light formed in one hand and force lighting in the other. Axle slowly brought his hands together. With all his strength, he blasted both light and dark energy at the enemy. The Inquisitors dropped their jaws and went wide eyed. The imperial forces were obliterated as explosions rocked the surface. The civilians cheered when the dust settled.

Axle walked back to Ahsoka's side, "That was fun." Then a star destroyer emerged overhead. "Your capture will please Lord Vader." The Seventh sister chuckled. The Phantom flew above them. "Tell your Master he'll have to wait." Ahsoka taunted and jumped aboard the small shuttle followed by Axle. Axle looked down on the two, smirked, and waved goodbye as the door closed and the ship flew off.

The two looked at the children, "They're force sensitive. We've seen this before. A Sith Lord attempted to do the same thing back in the Clone Wars, but the Jedi Order stopped him." "And now there's no Jedi Order to protect them." Kanan said, looking at the others, "Ok, I guess that task falls to us now." Axle put his arm over Ahsoka, "It's been two long since we've fought together like that. I've missed this." Ahsoka smiles at him, "And I'm glad you got used to that power drain so I don't have to hold you up anymore." she said laughing. Ezra walked up to him, "Yea, I saw that. That was amazing." Axle put his hand on his shoulder and smiled. He then looked back at Ahsoka who stared into his eyes. She smiled and closed her eyes leaning her head against his shoulder.
