Aftermath of The Training

Seeing that Lien Hua even after a few hours they had been there was still cultivating, Lin Yue was stunned, 'This is what you'd expect from the first person to cultivate in our class. *Sigh*...' She was jealous and it was obvious; they had known each other for so long and were on the same level until they had awakened, and the gap had been slowly widening until it got to this point. But this thing even if she was jealous, she didn't take it as a bad thing but as a motivation to get even stronger.

So Lin Yue with a sigh of defeat and a small smile that made Chen Huang suspicious as soon as he noticed her get up after doing that and walk towards Lien Hua, who was still in a state of deep cultivation. With every step she took, Lin Yue became more and more aware of how unsure she was of what she was doing. 'Why am I so unsure? It's Lien Hua, not a stranger. Then why?...'

Right in front of Lien Hua, Lin Yue stopped with an increasingly cold face, she didn't know what was stopping her until she heard a noise behind her and a hand resting on her shoulder brought her out of her hesitant state and she looked behind her with a surprised face. Right behind her was Chen Huang, who hadn't been noticed by her but had been following her since the beginning after he saw the face she was making.

As soon as he had seen that Lin Yue had stopped, he was still reminded of that unsure and hesitant expression of hers as she started to move towards Lien Hua. 'Sigh... I've never seen Lin Yue like this. Who knows what must have happened? She's been like this all day.' So behind her, seeing that she had stopped right in front of Lien Hua, Chen Huang put a hand over his friend's shoulder to make himself noticed, and seeing how she had turned around surprised, he scratched his cheek a little in embarrassment.

"Lin Yue, what is worrying you? It's as if you are afflicted by something. Why did you stop in front of Lien Hua? She is our friend after all, what are you afraid of?"

Noticing how Chen Huang had also noticed this, she was shocked. 'Am I that obvious? Geez...' with a sigh, she gave up.

Although with her ice-sculpted face, she didn't exude any emotion, as Lien Hua had said earlier, her eyes were very expressive and Chen Huang after years of being friends could now notice this and had become worried.

"Chen Huang, don't worry, as soon as we return home I will explain everything to you, together with Lien Hua."

Chen Huang was reassured by those sentences and let her go next to Lien Hua. Lin Yue behind Lien Hua brought her arm towards Lien Hua's shoulder and after she had placed her hand on top of it, she moved it a little to bring her out of that cultivation state.

Lien Hua, feeling that someone was disturbing her, at first was a bit bored. In fact, as soon as she opened her eyes she was ready to argue with whoever had disturbed her, but seeing that Lin Yue caused the disturbance, Lien Hua calmed down and looked her straight in the eye.

"Hey Lin Yue, how are you doing?"

"Um Lien Hua... I'm okay, and you?"

Lien Hua saw Lin Yue hesitating and was very suspicious, 'That's not her normal behaviour… What happened?' Indeed, after turning her gaze towards Chen Huang behind Lin Yue, and seeing his slightly worried face, she was certain. Something had happened.

"Well, I'm pleased to have passed the Sect Elder test, but what about you? How did it go?"

"That's great Lien Hua; as soon as you began meditating we were able to do it too!"

Seeing Lin Yue hesitate after his first response, Chen Huang continued to speak on his own, giving good news to Lien Hua, and meanwhile with his hands made it clear that something had happened, giving Lien Hua even more certainty that something had happened.

"Seeing that it's getting late and the Sect Elder is moving towards us, how about after all this you come to my house to talk? We really need it after all."

With a small smile, Lien Hua gave a proposal of her own, which was of course accepted by both of his friends. And after seeing the sky was darkening, she had also given a little excuse to bring them into her house and not let them escape her questions.

In the meantime, Wang Tao, seeing that all the disciples present were exhausted and could go no further with the exercise, stood in front of the training ground and began to speak very loudly.

So he resumed his position and shouted, stunning some of the disciples who were still tired.

"Thank you very much for your teachings, esteemed Sect Elder!"

So all the disciples thanked the Sect Elder, their voices alone making the ground tremble a little from their great presence, and one by one they departed.

Lien Hua was still on the ground and was about to get up when a hand appeared in front of her. She looked up at the person who had offered her his hand and saw that it was Feng Xiao.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. I'm going home now, goodbye!"

With a salute also to Lin Yue and Chen Huang, Feng Xiao went on his way, leaving the trio behind him.

So Lien Hua, seeing that Feng Xiao had already left, turned her gaze towards her two friends who were waiting for her.

"Well, guys, shall we go?

"Of course. We couldn't disturb you while you were talking to your boyfriend."

Seeing Chen Huang joking like this gave Lien Hua a little laugh.

"Come on, come on. Let's go before it gets dark and we get lost in the bush."

Thus, Lien Hua began to walk towards her house with Lin Yue looking down, still thoughtful, and Chen Huang looking at her a little worriedly as they discussed things among themselves.

"Today was very tiring, all that exercise. "Man, it's been a long time since I've exercised that much. Lien Hua, how about you?"

"Well I have to admit that I've been training the last few days, but now if you want to join me you can, of course, come along."

"Then I accept without delay."

With a big smile Chen Huang accepted Lien Hua's proposal. In the end it was much more fun to train together than alone, and maybe Lien Hua could even tell him some secrets. One never knew; that girl was a living database.

Meanwhile they also noticed how Lin Yue still hadn't said a word, and looking a little worried, Lien Hua tried to get her to join in the conversation.

"Instead of just you, Lin Yue, would you like to come and train with us? I have a lot of new ideas that you might like and they're a lot of fun too!"

"Well, I-I don't know; I would need more time to answer you. I-I mean it's not that I can't and that- I mean... after I explain what happened you'll understand, sorry."

Looking at her a little strangely, Lien Hua had already realized that this situation was very odd. Lin Yue, the coldest person she had ever met, was stuttering and unsure. It was very mysterious and Lien Hua was starting to be afraid of what she would tell her soon.

So, after this conversation of a few words, the return home was completely silent and the air around them became heavy. Lien Hua and Chen Huang had already realized that something strange had happened and that it would probably leave them in a terrible mood which made them start to develop some restlessness in their bodies.

As soon as they came down the stairs in the square where their class was located and were approaching Lien Hua's house, Chen Huang and Lien Hua noticed how Lin Yue was starting to walk slower and slower, not giving them a rush. Realizing that something serious had happened, they didn't want to create even more conflicts in their heads and so they spent even more time before arriving in front of Lien Hua's house.

As soon as Lin Yue saw that they had arrived in front of the steps to enter her friend's house, she stepped forward with a huge sigh, and once up the stairs, opened the door and entered with Lien Hua and Chen Huang behind her.
