Ch14. First problem 2

"As you already know, I am an Incubus. And yesterday, I found out exactly what that means..." Rei dejectedly stated. "Solution is not genderless. She is a female. During the slime bath, her body was in direct contact with mine and I was too relaxed. You might not have noticed it, Momo-chan, but yesterday when the guardians were swearing their fealty, your emotions ran rampant and you subconsciously released a wave of Negative Aura. Well, Solution made me so relaxed that my aura also started leaking... right into her body that was all around me." Rei finished with a no small amount of embarrassment.

Momonga looked at the books strewn all over the table and only now noticed that they were all about Incubi. Realization struck him as he spoke, "And the aura of high-tier Incubus was quite a trash in the game as it could apply a mental debuff which wasn't all that powerful. This is now reality so... Let me guess, Solution lost herself in lust?" Momonga deduced, not knowing how he should feel about that.

Rei just groaned again and rubbed his forehead. "I was lost in her 'Heavenly Aura' while she was lost in my 'Lust Aura'. Yeah... I came to my senses only in the middle of the night but by then we had a few hours of sex behind us and Solution would just not let go." Rei confessed with a shudder. "I am really, really glad I made her learn Shapeshifting magic so she could take a fully human form and not just outwardly look like a human."

"What do you mean lost in her aura?" Momonga inquired. He was undead and as much as he found it weird, he didn't care much about his friend's sexual pursuits. Magic, however... that he was interested in. As far as he knew, Aura spells had to be remotely activated. How could they passively affect something? He really found the direction of this discussion extremely interesting.

"Stop trying to look at our situation as if we were still in the game, Momo-chan." Rei said, "Yes, Yggdrasil magic works but that doesn't mean it is the beginning and the end of all. Mana is no longer just a numerical value that lets you cast spells. It is energy inside of us and clearly, it can affect certain things based on the attunement of our magic or our race."

"Fascinating." Momonga muttered, casting Aura of Despair I and trying to feel the difference while also attempting to sense how this 'mana' actually affects the world through his spell.

Rei knew that Momonga will be like a kid who just found a new toy if he doesn't distract him so he quickly continued, "Plus... we should really start noting down how becoming our game characters affected us."

Momonga lifted his gaze back towards Rei with an inquisitive skeletal face.

"You remember that I chose the Incubus race because of its special racial ability of Infinite Stamina, right?" Rei started.

"Yeah, you build the abilities of your character around that." Momonga nodded.

There were not many abilities that used Stamina as the casting resource in Yggdrasil but Rei had all of them and could use them indefinitely thanks to his race. Incubus was actually quite an unpopular race, to be honest. Its Aura ability was shit and unlike Undead Races that boosted Necromancy spell tree, Incubi got Infinite Stamina which wasn't as useful since acquiring abilities that used Stamina required quite a bit of effort. There were simply many better options as far as heteromorphic races were concerned.

Rei, however, picked Incubus because of its lore. Infinite Stamina might have been trash in the game but in reality? While he still could, he no longer needed to sleep. In the lore, high-tier Incubi also didn't require food as they could survive through absorbing energy. Naturally, their favorite food was vitality absorbed through sexual acts but that was far from all. The lore said it clearly. As Incubus, Rei could now indefinitely survive by using a part of his mana as nourishment for his body. And since his mana pool was massive, he no longer needed rest or sustenance. Heck, the amount of mana his body needed to sustain itself was negligible for him.

That was Rei's aim from the start. He could eat. He could sleep. He just didn't need to anymore. He had every advantage of an undead race while also having a living body. Plus since Incubi were supposed to be adept in mental magic, the race came with an innate resistance to mental manipulation and small shape-shifting capabilities. Meaning, Rei could age and de-age himself at will.

Most of these abilities came from the lore and he couldn't use them in the game but now that it became reality, the lore of his class apparently mattered and Rei already tried out quite a bit of the things it said he could do, finding them actually working.

"What nobody told me, Momonga, was that I would enjoy sex so much. I can control myself perfectly but I was really, really reluctant to stop doing Solution when I finally resisted her Heavenly Aura. I felt an exhilarating sense of fulfillment when I saw how much pleasure I was causing her, when I saw her completely out of it, incapable of logical thought as she drowned in my lust aura and the pleasure I was providing her. And I was totally aware that these feelings were inhuman. They were a primal part of me." Rei looked straight into Momonga's empty eye-sockets. "And if I have these new feelings and urges, you, as an undead, will have them too. You will most likely make decisions you would never do as a human and we should make damn sure we are really fine with that and not just getting carried away by our new racial instincts."

Honestly, Rei expected something like this. He was not stupid enough to not know the risk of picking Incubus race. He, however, always believed he could control himself. And he could. But... being able to do something and want to do something are two different things.

"How did Solution take it? If you both lost yourself in your instincts due to the aura of the other... Wasn't she upset in the morning?" Momonga changed the topic since he felt a bit too much pressure. He was aware Rei was right but always one couldn't always second guess his decision. Rei was having a hard time accepting his new nature after he discovered it but Momonga didn't yet find much difference in his mentality. Maybe that... was the biggest problem but it was hard to accept that.

Rei saw that Momonga didn't want to discuss their changes and relented. It was a quite uncomfortable topic, after all. Snorting, he answered, "The second she woke up, she offered herself to me once more, glowing in happiness and eyes sparkling with this expectation." He shook his head in amusement. "She is like a calmer, more level-headed version of Albedo who knows I won't refuse her if she pushed enough and is overly eager to prove her devotion in whatever way necessary."

Momonga cringed at that image. "In short, she made you so creeped out you holed yourself in the library, trying to find out a way to get your lust aura under control."

"Exactly!" Rei dryly nodded with a shudder.
