Kirstie awoke slowly, blinking as she adjusted to the bright light that was streaming in the window. She smiled to herself when she realised that she was curled up in Ben's arms, who was still fast asleep. She gently planted a kiss on his cheek and snuggled closer to him. Kirstie's eyes bolted open as she heard a knock at the front door, she frowned to herself wondering who it could be this early in the morning. Maybe Michelle had forgotten her keys again, she hardly seemed to be at the flat at the moment. Kirstie scrunched her eyes closed, hoping that whoever was at the door wouldn't knock again. She sighed as she heard another knock at the door. Kirstie sighed as she climbed out of bed, quickly pulled on Ben's shirt that was still laying on the floor and ran to answer the door. She frowned to herself as she answered the door and stood face to face with Nathan.
"Oh hi." Kirstie said.
"Hey, sorry it's early, but I need to talk to you about something." he said.
"Yeah, sure come in." she said, gesturing for him to come in. Kirstie hurried into the kitchen to make them both a cup of tea and quickly returned to the living room.
"Perfect thank you." Nathan smiled as she handed him a cup of tea.
"Hi Nath." Ben said as he walked into the room. Ben quickly sat beside Kirstie and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
"So, what it is, I need your help to get Chloe to our show tonight." Nathan said.
"What, why?" Kirstie frowned, take a small sip of her tea.
"Lee wrote a song, and although he'd never admit it, it's about how he feels about Chloe. We are going to be performing it for the first time tonight, I think she should hear it." Nathan explained.
"He hates her, though doesn't he?" Ben frowned.
"No of course not." Kirstie said quietly.
"Wait, what, have I missed something?" Ben asked.
"It is kind of obvious." Kirstie smiled at Ben.
"Not to me it isn't." Ben chuckled.
"Anyway, she won't go if I invite her, maybe you could find a way of getting her there so that she doesn't suspect." Nathan suggested.
"I don't understand what you are hoping to achieve from it." Kirstie frowned.
"Maybe the two of them will finally realise how they feel about each other." Nathan said hopefully.
"But he's an idiot, he doesn't deserve her. She needs someone that will treat her right and take care of her." Kirstie pointed out.
"Trust me, he will. I think he pushes her away because he's afraid to hurt her, but he won't." Nathan sighed.
"Well obviously, but it's hurting her." Kirstie said.
"I know, I've tried to get through to him, but he's so closed off, that's why I'm hoping if she realises the song is about her that she will talk to him." Nathan said quietly.
"It'll have to be subtle though, we'll need to let her come to that conclusion on her own, otherwise it's forced." Ben piped up. Nathan nodded and glanced at Kirstie, hoping that she would agree to his plan.
"Don't tell anyone I told you this, but he is lost without her." Nathan tried, when Kirstie still hadn't agreed.
"What do you mean lost?" she asked.
"He's quiet, distracted, getting with even more women than before, which I'm sure is so that he can try and forget about her." Nathan answered.
"Okay fine." Kirstie sighed.
"I still don't think he's good for her, but at the end of the day it has to be her decision." she quickly added.
"Awesome!" Nathan exclaimed excitedly, quickly standing up.
"Make sure she's listening to the song." he called back as he walked towards the front door.
"Which one?" Ben called.
"Broken." Nathan called back.
