Organize.

Klaus’s POV

Calculus, in other words, school, was finally over. This meant I had to move over to the Calculus teacher, Mr. Acquah’s office. I had no idea of its location but more importantly, I had to hand over the keys to Stormie and let her know why she had to wait a while for me to come so we’d go home. I quickly dashed out of the class even before Mr. Acquah left.

I called Stormie and she was in front of me in about 2 minutes. I told her I was going to see a teacher and left in search for Mr. Acquah’s office which wasn’t hard to find at all. I knocked and realized he wasn’t even in his office yet. I was about to go back to the classroom when I saw him approach with Brownie following him. She was carrying his books. I quickly took the books from her and followed our teacher inside.

“Since you both claimed you went to the school infirmary but have no proof, you are going to organize my office well every day after school.”, Mr. Acquah bluntly said.

“But sir, I have my infirmary pass here. I saw him leave without taking a pass and that’s why I didn’t show mine.”, Brownie shot back almost convincingly.

“Ow, so you mean, you lied about you both forgetting to take passes. Now, what are your interests, both of you?”, he asked pointing at us.

“uhh...singing, fixing stuff, uhh...does that count?”, Brownie replied indecisively.

“I guess I like to play my violin, paint, draw, art basically.’, I finally replied.

“Oh! Great news I have for you then. You were just going to organize my office but now I’ve changed my mind. You are going to give my office a full make over. I mean, real interior decor. You have the whole time in the world. I will leave you both spare keys so that you can choose to work early before class begins or after school, even on weekends. Just make sure to finish before the academic term ends. No discussion, off you go.”, he said, shooing us aggressively out of his office with a big grin on his face.

What just happened? Before we even had the chance to plead, Brownie had stormed out of the office, which only meant that I had no reason to remain there also.

“Come here for the spare key tomorrow!”, I heard Mr. Acquah shout as I walked out of his office.

Dahlia was out of sight already before I could catch up with her. Well I guess I will see her tomorrow.

“Oh, you are back already. Let’s get out of here, I don’t want to miss my show.”, Stormie yelled with her head out of the opened car window when she saw me approach.

“The world would be a much better place if you spent time doing your own homework.”, I yelled playfully back at her. She glared at me and turned away.

I only did Stormie’s homework for her because she was busy enough handling her own little business, developing very good company logos and writing novels. My little sister is very ambitious. She was failing her classes at a point so we agreed that she spent her personal study time to study lessons ahead of her class while I help with her homework sometimes because Stormie is very smart. She literally produces answers buy just working out problems in her head after seeing it. We both knew writing and typing these answers were just a waste of her time.

___________

Right now, all I can think of as I’m in bed is why Brownie said she was sorry back when she came out of the school infirmary. I mean, she wasn’t mean to me today in school or anything and I doubt she is the kind of person who would apologize for being her mean self, honestly. Or am I overthinking things? I’m only concerned because her apology-not much of an apology but accepted- seemed really sincere and I was never really offended by her little attitude. I mean, Stormie is my sister.
