In the midst of Adventure

It's more than 24 hours and I haven't seen my daughter. My wife and I have been waiting for the cops to call us for an update but we haven't heard a thing and it's getting me really pissed already. I love my daughter so much, I can't afford to lose her for anything, if the cops are not doing anything to find her then I will. I glanced at my wife at the couch from the staircase where I was standing, she seems a little bit nerves free as she listened to Victoria talk about something which I had no interest on. 


"My love, can I speak with you for a moment?" I called to her and she immediately excused herself from her friends and walks up to me. 


"What's up, honey, did the cops call you yet?" She asked me with furrowed brows. 


"Not at all that is why I called you here" I spoke to her in almost a whisper. 


"Okay...so what exactly did you call me for since you haven't heard from them?" She asked with a shrug.
