The next morning Zarele and the others got out of their tents. They were surprised to see Toshio's tent was gone and that he was just finishing cooking breakfast for everyone. 


"You're awake awfully early?" Zarele said as she stretched her arms. 


"I wanted to have more time to prepare breakfast." Toshio said as he kicked dirt over the campfire. 


He then placed a tray with some type of roasted stuffed potatoes on the side and rolled down his sleeves. 


"I already ate earlier this morning, so I'll go and make sure Lux goes to the bathroom." Toshio said as he and Lux left into the woods. 


"Huh? Didn't expect that the boy knew how to cook?" Penny said as she glanced at the tray. 


"Whatever these are, they smell wonderful." Thurber said as he picked one of them up. "We shouldn't let them go cold now, so dig in everyone." 


Penny and Safhana both grabbed a roasted potato with a cloth and blew on it before taking a bite, then both of their eyes widened.
