Riele's Pov
Today I decided to rub it in some specific people's faces that I'm now well to do so I meekly woke up early, tidied up and quickly sprinted out the door even without saying anything to my mom. You would ask me why. Well let's just say that annoying ex-boss if mine needs someone to tell him a few things to set him straight you know. I decided to text Ana to make her aware if my coming.

Typical Ana and drama️. Like I mean who types such long names as contact name and hottest babe in town...really?? Anyways I reach the hotel 10 minutes later (p.s I took a cab) and start walking briskly and noisily into the hotel to catch attention from my ex colleagues and it sure did work because when I reached the reception area, the few around starting whispering among themselves trying to figure out who it was and just staring jealously at my attire which was a simple white shirt tucked into a neat blue jeans and a white blazer paired off with some heels and fancy glasses.
I later removed my glasses for them to get to know who it was and I suddenly heard gasps around me. I simply shrugged off their comments and turned in the direction of the staff room to look for my best friend.
I'm not really showing off okay..I'm just shaming my enemies..duh. The moment I entered the room, I was pulled into a bone crushing hug by a certain over dramatic munchkin.
"Okay that's enough " I said trying to free myself from the hug but missy was clearly not ready and squeezed me harder to prevent me from escaping.
"Anastasia Marie Simpson..better leave me this minute before I hand over your gift to someone else because you clearly don't want it" I said in a threatening voice and she quickly left me and straightened out my dress just at the sound of the word 'gift'. I really have a child as a bestfriend stuck in a young woman's body.
" I misses you sooo much babe. Tell me what happened "
"Ana your eyes are too itchy...you wont even ask whether I'm fine or not. I'm starting to think you are only my friend because of the benefits you get. " I said with my face intentionally morphed into a sad one while staring st her.
"Oh cut the crap..I'm already full of drama"
"Oh come on ,you are no fun. At least it's good to know you are made up of drama "
"Ouch, you hurt me babe ' she said with her hands on her heart dramatically.
"Whatever, so this is what happened "

Shane's Pov
I tried calling Riele several times and she wasn't picking up so I decided to pay her a visit.
I got to her house and entered hoping to find someone who would show me her door and thanking a met a woman washing outside. (Wow, Africa really is something. Women wash with their bare hands and dry their stuff in the sun in some ropes hanging somewhere) I realised the woman was staring at me probably thinking I was a deaf or dumb person since I wasn't talking only staring.
"Hi uh..good day mum. I'm Shane Dawson Williams " I said extending my hand out to greet her.(Social distancing..nose mask, covid 19 is still out)
"Hello my son.. my name is Susanne Marie lawrence. Nice to meet you" I couldn't help but take notice of the last name and also the resemblance between...whoa.
" Same here ma'am " I felt happy with her politeness and welcoming smile.
" oh please call me susanne..Anyway before I ask you to come inside can you please tell me why you are here" I figured she thought I was here to see someone else.
"Well I was after Riele but I seem to have lost the way to her door"
"Oh my..has she caused any troubled Obroni P3t3( white man)" she asked as her face contorted to a frown.
"No,no,heavens no...she is my friend and I came to check up on her "
"Ok please she isn't around"
"Oh.. hmm that's really sad . Then I will be on my way" I turned around to walk away when a thought crossed my mind.
"Ma'am can i speak to you "
"Ok my son.. let's go inside" we entered the house and she gestured for me to take a seat. Sge tried going to get me water and I declined politely making her come back to sit down.
"So what is it you wanted to talk about "
"Well madam.. I uhhh.. I wanted to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage "
