Home

"Am home," I shouted for the dramatic effect, not that I needed to shout because my little brother had already seen me and engulfed me in a hug before giving Mella a bro hug. All the while I was smiling when I saw her look at him in confusion. It seems she had even forgotten she was wearing men clothes.

After Mella had requested permission from the school to visit a friend and was given the permission sheet, we had dropped at a men's boutique where I had changed her into a boy with a little touch of fashion and bought her a few change clothes. I don't know what I was thinking but showing up as a girl before my mother would have raised so many uncomfortable scenarios I wasn't willing to take.
