His grin disappeared from his face and his gaze became serious. 


"Why will you want to stay with me willing? What changed?" 


She let him go and blinked slowly before looking at him, "I am tired, I don't want to fight anymore. Since I am going to be with you eventually, I want to know you. I want to understand you and... love you." 


Those words brought him to his kneels and he looked up at her. Those words were wonderful to the ears, so wonderful that they felt almost impossible. They made him happy beyond explanation but there was doubt in his mind. Yet her eyes showed nothing but sincerity. 


He felt drawn to her, he wanted to kiss her but the doubt he felt was overpowering, she had almost killed him! She couldn't just have admitted her place in less than a week. Something she had fought vehemently against.
