Chapter 113 - Eyes Don't Tell Lies

Dek was the first one to pull off his mask with a displeased grunt. The face that stared back at her was one that she had never seen before. Then, Giston. Halfbhis face was covered with long beards that it almost made her uncomfortable.

The meeting commenced immediately after that. There was just this hostility towards Diamant from almost everyone in the room. She could sense it but she refused to allow that to deter her focus.

Just as quickly as the meeting had began, it ended. Lewis and Diamant were back on their horses once again, riding to the palace under the night sky. Today hadn't gone the way they had thought but it hadn't been terrible either.

The moment Diamant got back into her room, she got down to work to actually gain control on those ships she claimed were hers earlier. She spent the whole night going through plentiful scrolls. Although she found nothing, she didn't stop until sleep stole her away.
