Diamant

Diamant called out Ike's name as she maneuvered her way through the fire. It wasn't easy though, the smoke made her eyes water and soon she was coughing painfully. She called out his name again and again, rushing by the rooms that were already roaring with flames, right down to Risa's room. 


Diamant finally made it to Risa's room to see that Ike was soundly asleep. Relief washed over her for a split second, then she dashed towards the bed. 


The door slammed shut behind her at that moment, shaking the already fragile burning house. Some frames hung on the wall shook vehemently, a bottle filled with coins tumbled down a table and crashed against the rug. 


He didn't even have time to process what was going on before Diamant grabbed him, wrapped the blanket around them and started trying to find a way out -- now that the door was no longer an option.
