Chapter 131 - An Unforseen Twist

The man held her wrist, pushing it away from him then swung her around to get the book. But Diamant was thinking fast too, she elbowed him, planting her heels firmly in his boots, and sent her dagger flying in the air so that when he stagger back, his hood was already split into two.

She could see more of his face now, she gasped quietly. "What are you doing here?!"

Drako glared, pushed forward and snatched the book from her. He turned away going back the way he came, "collecting books, obviously."

"You should have worn your mask."

Drako scoffed. "Does my face haunt you that much?"

Diamant ignored that. "How did you--"

"An intruder in the palace!" Someone shouted some distance away, reminding them of what was actually going go. She could hear hurrying steps on the stairs coming towards them.
