On Diamant's 14th birthday, the strangest thing happened. A witch had almost killed her while warning her to stay away from the past. "Unbelievable!" She sprung up, despite herself. 


"I tell you. Once I get to the mines this evening, I will give them one last chance to spit out my stolen weapons. If they don't, I will have them all thrown into the dungeon!" 


Diamant's heart raced but her voice came out steady. "Just get thrown in the dungeon? How about you have them killed, all of them." 


Aaron stopped, a look of approval flashed in his eyes. "You never cease to amaze me." 


Diamant walked up to him, then put her hands on his. "I will be by your side all the way." 


"Then we shall leave together this evening." He smiled brightly at her. 


Her heart thundered in her chest, she frowned and shook her head. 


"Not this evening. Some other time but not this evening." 


"I have plans for us this evening. A dinner you, you might call it." 


"Yes. Please, be there. I have missed our time together much, I also have something special planned out for us."
