Megan happily ran to me. “Hi, Miss Faye” she greeted me warmly. I chuckled. “Hi my sunshine”
“I'm sorry for the inconvenience,” Ashton said as he came to us. I let out a smile between my lips. “ It's nothing, Sir, just enjoy your day and I’ll take care of Megan.” There were still worries on his face. “Why don't you both just come with me instead?” I just laughed at him. We talked for a minute then he finally left.
“Wow, Miss Faye, your house is so big,” Megan said in amazement. I let her roam around the house, Nana Sally is with her and my house is secure. I have nothing to worry about. I took a shower quickly then cleaned my room because Megan is allergic to dusty things. I went downstairs to look for Megan and there I saw her chatting happily with the maids and Nana Sally.
So, I decided to film her and send it to Ashton. Instead of texting me back, he called. “Hi, Sir how's your day?” I immediately asked him. “ I think I’ll be home late because they want to stop by at Gavin’s bar after this.” He said while fixing his hair blown by the wind. Oh my geez! That was hot. “Megan, your daddy is calling come here” I called Megan to divert my attention to him.
“Hey, daddy! Are you having fun there?” Megan giggled. I saw Ashton chuckled on the other line. I let them talk and I went to the kitchen to prepare some food for Megan.
“Miss Faye daddy wants to talk to you” Megan shouted from the living room. “ I’m here at the kitchen sweetheart” I shouted back so she could hear me. “Wow, my favorite snacks,” Megan said happily.
I walked away from Megan so that Ashton and I could talk. “ Sir, do you need anything else? If this is about Megan you don't have to worry about her. My house is safe and secured” I looked at Ashton’s handsome face, He’s busy fixing his hair because of the wind that blew his hair. ''I trust you enough to leave my daughter in your care Faye” We talked for a while and ended the call.
“Are you done? What do you want to do today?” She looks at me sadly. “I would like to go swimming but I don’t know how” I messed up her hair “ How about Miss Faye will teach you how to swim?” Her face lightened up.
I don’t have any kids swimwear so I decided to go to the mall with Megan. We were in the middle of shopping when Kate approached us with three girls behind her. “ Hi, sweetheart where is your dad?” Megan just looks at her irritably. “ What a brat kid, Let’s go girls'' Faye rolled her eyes and walked away.
“ I don’t know what dad sees in her. She’s so evil, Ugh so annoying” My eyes widened at Megan’s attitude. “You’re just five and you already know a lot about things” I shook my head in disbelief. “I am already six years old Miss Faye,” She said without looking at me.
When we got home Megan immediately got dressed in the swimsuit we bought. She became hyper unlike earlier. We spent five hours in the swimming pool, Megan is so easy to teach with, she catches up with everything I taught.
It’s eight o’clock in the evening, Megan’s already fallen asleep in my room and here I am in the garden waiting for Ashton to arrive. Now I just feel the tiredness we did earlier. “Faye, what are you doing here outside?” I heard Nana Sally’s voice. “ I am waiting for my boss Nana” She tapped me on my shoulder. “ I’ll wait for him Faye, just go inside and rest” I looked at Nana Sally’s assurance and went inside the house.
Up the stairs, I saw the room I had never opened since his disappearance. I went at it slowly. When I was in front of the door, I’m still hesitant to open it. I took a deep breath and slowly opened the door.
It’s so unpredictable it was as if he had disappeared in an instant and never seen him again. I walked towards his bed and sat. Looking at his pictures on the wall made me cry again. I just wanna keep the moment inside, I don't wanna say that I could let it go. You're the last one there when no one's around, You're the piece of me I never found. I missed you, my brother. Wherever you are now please be safe, Wait for me. I am almost there in finding you just trust me.
I’m sitting up against the wall, trying to find a way. But everywhere I go and every time I know it’s always ended up nothing. Tired, helpless, and confused running through my veins. I stood up wiping my tears and left the room. I slowly climbed into the bed and tried to fall asleep.
