The Begging of a New Life

1:28AM : June 24, 2010

POV: 3rd Person

Alex had just turned twelve, four days ago and he thought that his birthday was magical in on itself but what he was seeing right now blew that out of proportion. He looked outside for the second time to make sure what he saw was not a trick on his eyes. As he looked again he realized that what he was seeing was real. He saw his neighbors son Joshua getting attacked by what looked like a 10ft earthworm with teeth that would make a sharks look like baby teeth.

He was so frightened by what he saw he immediately put his head under his blanket and repeated to himself "I'm imagining, I'm imagining" over and over till he fell asleep out of pure exaushten even convincing himself it was a dream.

6:45AM : June 24, 2010

"Wake up little buddy" was the first thing Alex heard as he was awoken by his dad Henry from what he considered a weird nightmare. "Come on get in the shower and get dressed you don't wanna be late to summer school again now do you" said his dad. As he got up he saw through the window cops surrounding Joshua's house.

After showering and changing he went downstairs and asked his dad "What happened at the neighbor's house" he asked while getting his breakfast. "Oh apparantly the neighbors son Joshua went missing last night". When Alex heard this he tried to convince himself that what he saw was nothing but a coincidence. But as they went outside to head to the car he saw the same marks the earthworm creature had made in his strange dream. But the more he looked at it the more he saw similarities .

As his dad pulled out of the driveway he began telling his dad about the strange dream he had "Dad last night I had the strangest dream" "Oh yeah what was the dream about" replied his father. "It was about Joshua, I saw him get dragged down and eaten by what looked like a earthworm with really sharp teeth" but after talking more about his dream he saw that his dad had gotten paler than he usually was. "Dad is something wrong" asked Alex, but his father just said that he was feeling a bit famished from work.

10 Minutes Later

Location: Parkway Middle School

POV: Henry

'Why is this happening now' I thought to myself. This should not have happened Sarah couldn't have sacrificed her life for nothing.

I decided to call in sick so that I could talk to some of the colleagues that helped me and Sarah with the ritual.

I started to dial a number I thought I would have never dialed again. "Hello Roxan I need your help""Well, well, well what happend to hope we never see each other again""Not now Roxan I need your help I think the ritual didn't work"

Then Roxan asked seriously "How do you know the ritual didn't work""Because Alex saw ReaperWorms drag out neighbors son Joshua away"

"Ok, ok meet me at Bell's Cafe in downtown"" Ok I'll se you there". After hanging up the phone I immediately speed as fast as I could to Bell's Cafe in downtown to meet Roxan.

20 Minutes Later

Location: Bell's Cafe

As I entered the cafe I saw Roxan sitting in a both at the back of the cafe. When I sat down Rixan immediately bombarded me with questions "Are you sure that's what he saw? You sure your not just imagining things?. As she kept asking me questions I stopped her and said "No I'm wasn't imagining things , Alex told me he saw an earthworm like creature with jagged teeth drag our neighbors kid Joshua away, but luckily he thinks it was a strange dream". "Now what I want to know is why he saw a ReaperWorm the ritual should have prevented him from seeing them like me and Sarah did" I asked Roxan. "It should have prevented him from seeing anything related to the Order of Lost Chaos""Then why is he seeing them""The only way for the ritual to not have worked was for a powerful Beast of Chaos to have intervened".

As I listened to Roxan talk about the only creatures to be able to prevent the ritual from working were Fafnir a wolf so big it could end the world as we know it, Krekeerrox the weaver of Worlds a huge spider capable of creating new worlds with her webs, Raclops the Lion of Pride a lion so prideful and strong he could destroy the sun itself, but these were only some of the names that she presented to me.

"So you think that one of these creatures could have prevented the ritual from working" I asked Roxan with her replying "Yes, we performeed a high rankinng seal capable of sealing some of the most dangerous Chaos Beasts in our world".

I sat there in silence contemplating what I had just heard when Roxan spoke again.

"I could use the strongest locator spell that I know to see if I can figure out what prevented the ritual from working" then replied "Yes please do last thing I want is for Alex to be dragged back into the life me and Sarah tried so hard from escaping from" we then proceeded to talk about possible outcomes of what could happen if we don't find the Chaos Beats who prevented the ritual from working.

Before we knew it several hours had passed and it was 30 minutes before Alex had to leave school. As we said our goodbyes Roxam told me she would inform me of any new updates on the Chaos Beast.

20 Minutes Later

Location: Parkway Middle School

As I arrived 10 minutes before Alex got out I kept wondering what Beast could have prevented the ritual from working. Before I knew it Alex had been dismissed and got in the car.

"Hey lite buddy how was school today" I asked while pulling away from the school. "It was fine although everyone was talking about Joshua's disappearance". "What were they saying""They kept saying that he was kidnapped although I can't keep the strange dream I had out of my head".

"Don't worry it was only a dream""I know but it seemed so real... anyways how was your day dad".

"My day was fine" I replied. We then fell into a peaceful silence that lasted the entire drive home.

When I had parked the car in the driveway Alex got out and went to his room to do his homework.

As time went by I started to cook dinner. Then when time for dinner came around I called Alex down to eat.

As we were eating we talked about how his work in school was going. After we finished dinner I sent Alex up to brunch his teeth and go to bed.

As I had sat on the couch thinking about the day I received a call from Roxan.

"Dezzoassol, The Eternal"said Roxan in a whisper "What" I replied. "Dezzoassol, The Eternal, that's who prevented the ritual from working on your son"

As I thanked Roxan I hung up the phone I thought about Dezzoassol, The Eternal a dragon so big he dwarfed the sun itself, with wings that showed the galaxy to the golden ruins carved to his sides he was a creature devoid of sympathy who enjoyed the suffering of mankind that is who
