Chapter 27 : A Solution... Or Not

In Snow's room, Snow stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom, a bottle of bleach in one hand. She looked into her own eyes in the mirror for a minute before pouring the whole bottle of bleach onto her wide opened eyes. Her eyeballs sizzled with the painful sensation of burning, but to her it was much better than the trauma her poor eyes had to go through at a young age of 20 years old, which is quite young considering how long she could actually live.

"Ah. Much better,"

Snow set the empty bottle of bleach on the counter and reached out for the bottle of healing elixir she brought along into the bathroom. She put one drip into her eyes and in a matter of seconds, both her eyeballs regenerated and the red marks left from the bleach healed. It looked as if nothing had even happened in the first place.

Snow proceeded to use a water bending spell to remove any bleach that might have dripped on her clothes as she did not want to go through the trouble of taking another bath and changing into another outfit. She walked back into her room, set an alarm to ring at 6:30 pm and laid down on her hotel bed. As she thought back to the whole incident that just happened, contemplating the best actions to take later, she drifted to a nightmare plagued sleep.

In Lyte's and Lisa's room, they sat on either side of Lyte's bed, backs facing each other. They did not know how to deal with the situation and decided to just let silence accompany them. However, they knew they cannot stay like that forever.

"S-so, umm, Lyte. S-sorry about that. I guess my hormones were just running wild, ya know..."

"*awkward chuckle* Yeah, I-I understand, Lisa,"

Again, silence loomed over them as they tried to think of a good response to one another.

"So-" "Hey-"

Both spoke at the same time. They immediately shut their mouth once more and turned to face the walls again.

"You go first," "Why not you speak f-"

Once again. They were making the day very awkward for the both of them. Lyte decided to take matters into his own hands. He stood up and walked to the other side of the bed. He then slightly crouched in front of Lisa and raised a hand up. After receiving a nod from Lisa, he took it as her sign of letting him speak first.

"Lisa, it's okay. I didn't mind at all. I was actually into it until, you know,"

"R-really?!"

Lisa had a spark in her eyes after hearing that. A lot of thoughts ran through her head as her cheeks began to show a tint of pink. Was that it? Was Lyte going to tell Lisa he likes her the same way she likes him? How would she respond and what would she do if that was the case?

"Yeah really. We are at the age where we become curious about our bodies and the bodies of another gender. It's only natural. Nothing to be ashamed of,"

Lisa's fantasies crashed with that. It seemed Lyte was much more pure than she had thought, or he was just dense. She had her hopes up that he would like her as more than a friend, but it seemed the hope was just an unrealistic dream. But still she wished that he would have a change in heart someday.

"O-oh, haha. Thank you for understanding. Glad we got that sorted out," Lisa said as she cried internally.

"Yeah, me too. Thank goodness out friendship is still safe,"

"Hehehe. You're very funny, you know that Lyte? By the way, how are we going to explain ourselves when miss reapress in the next room returns?" Lisa's heart cracked little by little as the word friendship hit her hard.

"Well, telling her the truth is definitely not an option here,"

"No shit, smart ass,"

"Oh my god! Language! Young lady should not speak as such!" Lyte gasped dramatically while holding a hand over his chest and said in an attempted British woman accent.

"Me? Young lady? Th'was mistaken. I am a young witch, that I am," Lisa played along, hoping they could relax the atmosphere a little.

"Young witch?! Blasphemy! I have yet to lay eyes on such a beautiful witch!"

"Oh my, you charmer! I thank you for complimenting. But alas, I am a witch, a witch I shall be. I shall live a witch and die a witch,"

"Well, 'tis my lucky day to have stumbled across such a fair, kind witch. Even though you swore like a sailor,"

Both of them looked at each other, trying to hold back their laughs as to not break character. But the harder they tried, the more difficult it was for them to hold back their laughters. They both started laughing hysterically with Lisa falling backwards on the bed and Lyte on the floor.

Outside their room, the other guests of the hotel looked out of their room once again and shifted their gazes on the door. They strongly believed the guests in that room must either be insane or psychotic. Stripes accompanied by a dark purple hue could be seen trailing down one side of their heads as they looked at Lyte's and Lisa's room. Only when the laughters had subsided did they glanced at each other, shook their heads and reentered their rooms, this time placing a chair in front of their doors for safety precautions.

"Hahahahahah!! Lisa! We should, haha, stop!" Lyte managed to calm himself down.

"Okay, okay," Lisa said as she wiped away some tears formed from laughing too hard.

"But seriously though. What are we going to tell Snow?"

Both Lyte and Lisa got serious immediately and tried to think of a solution. The perfect excuse for Snow so she would not... Actually, they did not know why they had to make up an excuse. Maybe it was just to ensure things would not be awkward among them during their confirmed lengthy journey.
