As Lyte threw up in the toilet of the tavern, his two female companions were talking to each other while keeping their gazes fixed on the toilet door Lyte entered. Unfortunately for them, the walls were not soundproof so the whole tavern could hear the sickening sound of Lyte emptying his stomach, excreting the food he ate that day through the wrong end, the top end.

"Wow, he didn't take it well. Not at all,"

"As expected. I mean, I do not expect one to be well after knowing they had unknowingly eaten a mer's flesh. Surprisingly it is still a legal delicacies,"

"Ya. Maybe some of the land dwellers still held grudges against the sea dwellers. Our ancestors hated each other, as you may know. Wars were brought out, blood was spilt, innocent lives were sacrificed. But meh, that's the past,"
