Chapter 26 - Slumping Days

(Leon POV)

"Come on," I said sweatdrop trying to open the power circuit as few other female students looked at me, and Leonidas looked at them "Uhh Leon could you hurry I saw spirit outside," Leonidas said flinched "Leon!?" Riko yelled looked at me "Ah hey hold this" I said giving her my bag climbing up "Be careful Leon those lightning bolts can knock you out!" Leonidas yelled, "I will be alright-SHIT!" I yelled barely dodge lightning bolt looked over from a few distances there's a monster there in that typhoon but stop moving for some reason...

I slammed my hand glowing wind energy into the power box charging it up "YOWCH!" I yelled in pain rubbing my hand aimed it at the cloud "FIREEE!!" I yelled, "It did do something...looks like the lighting calm it down for a bit..." I said looking at glowing dragoon eyes flashed dark yellow...

"Well did you do it?" Riko asked "Yeah let's test it out," I said click as lights are back on "Lixue how it looks on your side?" I asked, "Uh looks good uh-HANAMARU LOOKOUT!" Lixue yelled "Shit," I said running with Riko as I barge in "Ughh," Lixue said rubbing his forehead as Hanamaru was on his chest tightly gripping on "Uhh..." I said sweatdrop "Eh?!" Both yelled looked at us "You guys alright?" I asked nervously chuckled "Yeah...damn Leon your arm though!" Lixue yelled "I'm alright," I said looking at my arm glowing with electricity then faded to normal...

"So I can do electricity now yay..." I said "Jeez you worried me too much," Riko said sighed "I do?" I asked, "YES YOU DO COULD HAVE GOT VAPORIZED!" Riko yelled as I flinched (...She's totally different from Chika and Ayu) I thought nervously chuckled "Alright Riko I'm alright though not a single scratch!" I said "Hmm what's this" Riko said had her hand on my left cheek "...Nurse office now" Riko said "...Understood..." I said sweatdrop following her "Sorry for interrupting!" Riko yelled waved bye to Hanamaru and Lixue as we left...

(Talk about 180...) I thought bored expression...

(Nurse Office)

"...Ow ow!" I yelled flinched in pain "Hold still will you...jeez!" Riko yelled "Y-Yes ma'am..." I said nervously as Leonidas was sitting on the other side watching also being Riko's back up holding the supplies she needs...

"Does your friend Ayu does this all time?" Riko asked "...Yeah, and my other friend Yu would be one giving me lectures..." I said sweatdrop ("...LEON JOHN WINCHESTER NURSE OFFICE NOW!!" Yu yelled "...Y-Yes ma'am!!" I yelled) Yu was so scary...but I knew she did it to remind me that everyone else worries about me...

"I can see why...Leon you mean a lot to people can't go like a day without getting beat up now can you" Riko said sighed "Nope espically in my day-offs" I said nervously chuckled ruffled my hair a little "Ughh these days you're gonna get yourself killed!" Riko yelled "Haha...have more faith in me besides we still got few days before the festival which is on next Saturday," I said smiled "There you're all done," Riko said "Well I'ma put this stuff away," Leonidas said walked away "Don't get lost," I said, "I'M NOT KID!" Leonidas yelled as I laughed "Well a lot of fun things happened here" I said smiled relaxing a bit while Riko slowly rests her head on my shoulder (What?!) I thought flinched "Kinda jealous of Chika...get to have you" Riko muttered (....What did she say? ugh my head still has a headache from getting too much energy in the power box...) I thought sweatdrop "It's been..awhile since we chat like this" Riko said, "Yeah since the uh concert..." I said sweatdrop

(Pianoforte Monologue Insturmental Ver)

"You really scared me when I found you..." Riko said quietly "...I'm sorry about that Riko...and uh thanks for uh taking good care of me while I was out at the time" I said smiled "...I'm just annoyed you left without saying goodbye!" Riko yelled "I-I had to do something for Yoshida but ran into Chika and helped her for the rest of the night," I said sweatdrop "...What?!" Riko yelled, "She didn't tell me that..." Riko muttered "Hmm???" I asked confused blinked "No nothing..." Riko said sweatdrop looked at the ground "Well did you had a great talk with your old teacher?" I asked smiled "It was a long time since I left Toyko but we did talk and it was just like the old times," Riko said smiled "Haha at least there's no lesson to be afraid of eh?" I asked "Afraid? I never say she was scary Leon" Riko said giggled "Right my bad," I said chuckled "...She says I uh changed" Riko said smiled "Change??" I asked confused expression "I didn't smile as often then I should be compared to Tokyo and to here in Uchiura," Riko said sweatdrop "It's probably because I feel more free here," Riko said (More free huh? Well I can see that honestly for myself wasn't really in motivated move to relearn and help Leonidas gain his strength again... all I was focusing on helping the School Idol Club...) I thought eyes closed but smiled "Yeah. Being in place near the ocean, although why worry about tests and allowances?" I asked confused "Well Leon I still have to worry about that it's important to," Riko said, "Right right..." I said awkwardly ruffled my hair nervously...

"Oh, I remember to know you ask your teacher about something with songwriting right??" I asked "Yea to get some advice on it," Riko said "For Aqours, right? Don't tell me you also got into writer's block??" I asked shocked "Of course I can still write music! Just that.." Riko said, "Just what?" I asked "The songs I wrote...don't satisfy me," Riko said, "Don't satisfy you??" I asked "It just doesn't feel right and hard to put into words...like a song that's not meant for Aqours to sing," Riko said concerned "Not...for Aqours?? How does that work?" I asked confused "It's complicated than it sounds," Riko said sighed "Well what do you normally write about??" I asked "Everybody in Aqours, this town we lived in, the school we go to...School idols are deeply connected to their schools and towns, so I thought it would be bested to put that taste into songs I write" Riko said "Ah I see almost like to help people find where you're from and it can act as PR! Two birds with one stone!" I yelled "Yeah. I want to make a song for Aqours for this town and for those who supported us. I think of that as my responsibility as a songwriter to make music that returns all the love we received" Riko said (...So that's how she write her songs...) I thought "I understand now especially if this song gonna be local to the area. You wanted to write a song by resonating with everyone" I said "Excatly so I was trying really hard researching the town and school then put that into my music" Riko said, "What is exactly you're trying to find anyway?" I asked confused "Umm...I was trying to observe everyone in Aqours. From morning at school till we go home after the club" Riko said (Oh so that's why she's observing Chika earlier) I thought thinking for a bit...

"Wait why though?" I asked "Reflecting the image of our members is important in our songs. I wanted to observe them naturally, so I didn't ask questions but..." Riko said looking out at the window "But?" I asked confused "I had to ask them what they do at home and stuff because I can't watch them there. I asked about stuff like how they think about the school, Uchiuru, and Numazu. Not only that, but I researched the town history and culture went to observe the sights of how people move around" Riko said "I see a lot more work than I thought it be. But still not enough to be satisfied with the song eh?" I asked "No it's been bugging me for a long time," Riko said sighed "What did your teacher say?" I asked "I was overthinking about it and let my heart be free though," Riko said looked at herself "You couldn't accept that...especially when it's not the essence to Numazu or Aqours," I said "Yeah...the music I write isn't just for myself," Riko said (Eh...I used to write the others songs but since now they do that on their own which I don't mind...damn it really had been awhile I wonder what they been up to?) I thought thinking for a minute...

(I think there's something I have to try...) I thought as Leonidas appeared confused for a bit "Hey...Riko if it's okay with you can I hear you play the piano?" I asked "W-WHAT?!" Riko yelled shocked "What's gotten into you??" Riko asked "Uh I just wanted to know something and listen if it not wrong with you," I said sweatdrop "Not at all...let's head to the piano room," Riko said confused "I'll join yah!" Leonidas yelled "Alright but you behave!" I yelled "Okie Doke!" Leonidas yelled...

(Just maybe...she's the girl I met when I was younger argh...I gotta know damn it! Maybe once she starts playing will get me the answers I'm looking for...) I thought
