{time skip to after ben went home}

"Why was ben here?" my sister asked, "are you more worried than that rather than where the hell is our mother?" I asked realizing it is 11 pm already and our dearest mother ain't home yet "wait I thought you knew where she was?" she said, "well I don't I thought she was in her room but she would have gotten out of her room to cook like hours ago." I answered. I walked to our mom's room and knocked; I knocked a few times but no one answered so I open the door and see the bed is still fixed and no one in the room. "Mom isn't inside." I told my sister "where could she be?"

We started trying to call her then I called ben ten's mom but she said she wasn't there. "Why are we looking for mom as if she's a 16-year-old teen?" rin asked after I called ben ten's mom "I don't know maybe because mom hates going out late at night because it what she called dangerous time, we were not allowed to stay out after 9:30 pm back then and that was her rule, I don't think she will break her own rule," I answered. I feel like a mother looking for her child but this time it's my mother. WHERE IS SHE!

After a few more times of trying to call her, we started dozing off, I woke up in the middle of the night when I heard someone trying to get into our house. "Rin." I whispered she woke up and was about to say something when I covered her mouth "Someone's trying to get in." I whispered to her, I stopped covering her mouth and she said something "do you think it's mom?" "I think mom would have a key for the own house she bought plus if she didn't, she would know where the spare key is hidden." I whispered back "what if she's drunk, dummy." she whispered again then my overthinking brain thought of something "what if that isn't her? And it's someone trying to kill us?" "god stop being paranoid," she whispered. The door opened and my sister and I were scared to death when a tall figure walked into the house. "That surely isn't mom." rin said as we try to back up behind the couch, since the only light coming in the room was from the moon I don't think the figure saw us "yeah no sh*t sherlock mom is only like 5'4" I answered.

The lights suddenly turned on as rin and I tried to lower ourselves behind the couch so we wouldn't get killed, I peaked a little then when I realized who it was I stood up and said: "Oh it's dad." "WHAT?!, I thought we were gonna die." rin whined "Same here, anyways let's try calling mom again." I suggested "What your mom isn't home?" dad asked, "no why do you think we fell asleep in the middle of the living room?" I answered "Ill try and call Grace." he said, "already did she said she hasn't seen her since school started." I said "do you have the friend's phone number?" rin asked, "mom literally only has one friend that isn't in another country snd that's aunt Grace." I answered "Are you sure your mom didn't go to the store?" dad asked "from around 3:30 in the afternoon to 11 pm... I don't think so." I answered

I walked in front of the stairs and looked up "Rin did you even look in the guest room?" I asked "why would I?" she asked, "Uhm I don't know because sometimes mom likes to sleep there because the aircon is better." I answered, I walked up the stairs and opened the guest room she was in there in deep slumber. "Mom?" I called out and his eyes opened "Dad is downstairs." I said leaving out that we were worried sick about her or why did she sleep for so long.

"What are you doing here." my mother asked coldly as we walk down the stairs "I'm here to take my daughter." he answered and my eyes widen "NEVER!" I shouted "Rin bring your sister to her room please" "It's Zarene for you, not Rin." rin sneered "I'm glad we took's mom's last name." rin and I walked up to her room only because we can hear whats going on in the living room better.

"Are you going with him?" I asked Rin "why would I?" she responded and I just shrugged my shoulder. "Why are we using mom's last name again?" I asked "I think it's because Dad was not there when mom was pregnant with both of us nor when mom gave birth." rin explained.

After a few minutes of our parents arguing in the living room mom called us downstairs "Rin, Z, one of you can go with your father if you wish but if you don't you can stay here with me." rin and I didn't hesitate for a moment before grabbing our mothers arms "I think he should leave now." I said giving my father a cold glance "What have you told them?" he asked "mom only told us that you had a huge argument but based on that girl in the car I think it's more than that." rin answered "she is pregnant may I add." I continued for her, "since she's pregnant you have another kid so I think you won't need to harass MY daughters and me now." mom said. He did argue but he just left. "I'm hungry." I blurted out "really after that intense moment you just say you're hungry?" Rin asked, "As if you ain't hungry too." I looked at her "oh my god I'm sorry I fell asleep I wasn't able to cook for you." mom said in clear shock "well how about we just microwave some hot pocket then eat out on Saturday?" mom suggested "sure, but why Satur-nevermind...school." I nodded with the realization.
