Chapter 39

Once we got home I was just exhausted so I got ready to go to bed so I at least have some energy to get back to school tomorrow.

I woke up the next day with literally so many texts from bri

8:10 am

[Bri-Bri: Where are you?!]

8:15 am

[Bri-Bri: UHM hello?!?! Answer me!]

8:25 am

[Bri-Bri; first period is starting in like 5 min.]

8:30 am

[Bri-Bri: Ms. I forgot the name of but our first-period teacher is asking where you are]

9:00 am

[Bri-Bri: I told her a lie that you were sick since the day before yesterday so better roll with it when you see her.]

After reading all her texts I check the time on my phone which I should have done first but I didn't and saw that it was already 9:30 am! I was about 2 hours late. I rushed to get ready and shove all my things in my bag then shouted for rin to see if she left me or we both overslept throughout 10 million alarms "RIN!" I shouted again as I put my bag on and go out "ZAREEN FIARIO!" I shouted again it turned out that she was still having her beauty sleep "What do you want?" she shouted as I was banging on her door "2 hours! WE ARE 2 HOURS LATE FOR SCHOOL!" I shouted then I heard something or someone hit the floor, then rin's door swung open "2 hours?!" she said, "if you don't get ready now it will be 3 hours." I said hen pushed her back into her room.

10 minutes later rin rushed out f her room then screamed at me to start the car while she's putting her shoes on and so I did. We were driving when I noticed the time "do you wanna walk in the middle of 2nd period?" I asked rin "no, you?" she asked, "nope, let's just go get something o to eat and get there at lunchtime since we're already late." I said "deep inside I want to tell you no because we gotta go to school but as your supportive sister, Where do you wanna eat?" she says "I want McDonald's." I smiled. "Sure you're paying," she said as she turned to go to the main road to get to the closest McDonald's. "Why am I paying?" I asked "because it was your idea." she answered and I just admitted defeat.

11:30 am

[Zzz: Hey bri, woke up late and so did Rin but what do you want from McDonald's? My treat]

[Bri-Bri: if not because of the McDonald's I will be hitting you when you get here but since there's food involved, I want fries, chicken nuggets, and a frappe.]

[Zzz: so technically you want what I'm ordering for myself. anyways I'll give it to you as soon as I get there.]

[Bri-Bri: kk]

We arrived at school just before the bell rang for lunch so I called bri and ben ten to meet us in front of the cafeteria so they can eat their McDonald's. When we were hanging out we found out that ben was also late and walked in the middle of second period, and that bri was the only responsible one of s when it comes to going I school on time. "So what happened to first-period bri?" I asked "well ms. just asked where you were and I came up with the lie that I texted you earlier and she kinds believed it, so all of you when ms. I forgot her name." bri paused for a minute to think about it but glanced t me for help "Ms. Kelly," I said "yeah her if you see her just roll with the lie I said that Z was sick since the day before yesterday." she said.

Lunch somehow went by quicker than I expected, but I went in my day like I was at school the whole time while trying to avoid my first and second-period teacher which was somehow pretty hard.

[After school]

"Today was so exhausting!" I sighed as bri, ben, and rin entered the car "you weren't even in the first half of school." bri responded "so what? School is exhausting in general" I said. "Oh guys, what you guys wanna do for Christmas?" ben asked "mom, will be out on Christmas day so possibly spend it with her, but on the 24th I was thinking we can hang out together." rin said "I'm down, my parents have work on the 24th so other than this I'm alone during Christmas eve." bri chimed in "so all of us are in!" I exclaimed "you didn't ask me." ben said, "your mother kicks you out of the house or lock you in your room the whole day because she keeps forgetting to pack the gifts so I'm pretty sure she'll be more than grateful if I take you out of the house on the 24th." I responded "True." ben said.

We stayed army house until 5:30 because we needed help from each other to finish our homework and plan out Christmas eve. "Oh yeah, how about you rin. You're free on the 24?" ben asked "yeah, my friends are out of town since thanksgiving break and their parents emailed their teachers that they will be out of town until the end of the year." rin answered. "Damn, lucky," I said as I finished my annoying math homework. "Should we do secret Santa?" rin suggested as she got back from the kitchen, "just the 4 of us?" ben asked "yeah." rin answered "I'm down if yall are too." bri said, "same here." I chimed in, "sure." ben responded. "Ok, wait here." rin rushed to her bag.

Less than 5 minutes later we picked out names from a bowl that rin used. "Why are we doing this si early?" ben asked "so we have more than a few weeks to get things ready, because like I said earlier gifts should be either full DIY or MOSTLY DIY." rin answered. "Got it." ben said as he hid the person that he got.
