Chapter 40

The next day it was Tuesday so we had to go to school, Good thing this time I didn't wake up late. After I got dressed rin was still not up so I knocked on her door loudly when no one answered I shouted for her "RIN!", but then someone answered from downstairs "I'm in the kitchen, what do you need?" I went down and saw rin with going through her school bag, "What did you need?" she asked without looking up from her bag "nothing, I just thought you were still asleep, anyways what are you looking for?" I questioned "I can't find my blue light glasses, I have online testing today." she answered, "Uhm, rin I think you're still half asleep, you're wearing your glasses." I giggled a little.

I heard a knock not long after rin and I laughed about her stupidity "YALL BETTER BE AWAKE!" ben shouted "We're awake, give us a sec we'll be right out!" I shouted back then started putting my shoes on. "RIN! Ben's outside, let's go." I shouted, "Coming, start the car the keys are at the kitchen counter." She responded, "kk, make sure you lock the door." I went out the door and got in the car with ben ten, "is bri gonna ride with us back home today?" I asked "nope I don't think so." ben answered as he put on his seatbelt. "Y'all ready to go to school?" rin asked, "no, BUT I am ready to go back to my wonderful and comfy bed." I answered "Same." ben chimed in "not gonna lie I wanna skip." rin said as she backed up from the driveway.

Halfway to school, my phone started ringing,

Bri-Bri: Meet me at the gym girl's bathroom as soon as you get here

Zzz: Why?

Bri-Bri: Just do it.

With that, she ended the call, Ben and rin looked at me confusedly "What was that?" rin asked "I don't know but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be an emergency." I said. When we got to school i rushed to when bri was and caled out her name "Bri?" "2nd stall." she said, "What happened?" i asked as soon as she opened the door for me "Still remember the teacher that she argued with a fwe months ago?" she asked "Yeah? Our history/Study hall teacher." i answered "well he's marrying my mother and i dont like it but my mom seems to lik him a lot so i dont knwo what to do and she wont believe me that he's sleeping with a student and i cant report it because i dont have proof" she ranted "ok calm down, do you want a solution, lecture, or a listener?" i asked knowing that righ now she's confused "just listener for now." she answered, i nodded for her to continue "My mom wants him to move in with us as soon as he gets married, but the thing is tha HE wants US to move at his house, which i dont want to do by my dearest mother is considering it with out askig me, and now that my brother heard that she's getting married he's also against it and totally believes me s now he's coming back from the military and trying to convice her to not do anything before he gets here." she took a moment to breath "but now that he's coming we all know what it means chaos, i dont wanna go hme and can i please stay at you're house bcause i think their gonna get married soon because he's already moving some of his stuff in our house wich makes no sense because like what i said he wants us to move to his house. And I'm uncomfortable with it both." she finished ranting, "ok so I don't know what to do now, but yes you can stay in our house for a bit I'm sure rin or mom would care, but you need to talk to your mom about how you feel, you should be her priority since you're her child, for now, let's get to class." I said not knowing how I can comfort her better.

We get to our first period with 5 minutes to spare, "Zehna? A word please." our teacher says, 'here we go keep up the lie' i thought to myself "Yes ms.?" I asked "how are you feeling? Rin told me yesterday you were sick." she said, "I'm great now, I was feeling better yesterday but I still had a bit of cough and I didn't want to go to school in case I might spread the cold." I explained "oh that's great, another thing second semester is coming soon so you might want to talk to your counselor this week to get your second-semester schedule." she smiled and went back inside. OH MY GOD, I forgot it's almost the second semester…..I'm already so done with school.

"BEN!" I shouted as he walked past me, "oh Z, bri was looking for you." he turned around "oh yeah but I was kinda wondering if I can talk to you?" I said "yeah what is it?" he asked "well, bri and Rin know their schedule for the second sem. Already but I don't so can you like to help me talk to my counselor later?" I said, "sure, but I can't do it later maybe next week?" he responded, "thats good, also I'm hungry and I forgot my wallet, can you get me food please." I tugged him towards the cafeteria "fine, but you owe me one." he smiled and walked with me towards the cafeteria. We sat down where we would usually sit while bri and rin gave us the stinky eye because we wouldn't let them cut in line, "you guys are so annoying." bri whined as soon as she sat down "whatever." I smiled "What's your classes next sem?" rin asked "I don't have mine yet but ben and I will get it next week." I answered "well I didn't take anyone's sem classes, so I don't have any change to mine." bri chimed in "the schedules are so early this year we still have like one month of the first sem." I said, "yeah it's like most of the teachers want new students." ben responded.
