Matilda's POV
I was in the woods when I woke up. The wolf that was chasing me was still behind me. I didn't feel like running. I walked towards it and went to touch it's fur but it bit me instead. I started fading into the darkness.
When I woke up again I was in a bedroom. Not my own bedroom back home but another bedroom that looked old. I was packing. I took everything that was mine, I think. The door opened to reveal a girl same age as me with white hair.
"Where are you going?" She asked me and I ignored her. She left the room when she noticed that I was not gonna say anything. I walked out of the room with my suitcase. There was a doll like man standing in the hallway. I started backing up when he walked close to me.
"Earthbender. I see one!" He yelled and I knew it was my cue to leave so I ran. I ran as fast as I could to my bedroom. The room had changed. It looked like mine now. I started seeing black only. I felt around for things and I knew I was at the door. Even though I could not see, my hearing and smelling senses had increased. I was now feeling the grass under my feet. And some ice here and there. I stepped closer far away.
"Mattie?" I heard George say. I opened my eyes that I didn't know where closed and all I could see were grass and trees everywhere.
"George?" I asked nervously still looking around for him.
"Where are you going?" He asked and I closed my eyes trying to find my brother instead of seeing trees everywhere.
"Where are you? I don't see you," I opened my eyes and I was now in a dark room full of stars. They were blinding but I only saw them.
"Wake up Mattie," George said and I held my hands out to feel him. I felt someone hold my hands but I was standing in front of a tree.
"Wake up sweetie," Granny said and I tried to find her voice. Only trees covered me now. I could see the wolves and witches from distance. I also saw ghosts and they were kneeling in front of me. I started running. I felt pain on my ankle but I ran to where I don't know.
"Baby come back!" I heard mom yelling at me.
"No leave me alone!" I yelled back and bumped into a wall. I looked up and saw Mani.
"Wake up and go back. We will come get you back when the time is right," he promised and placed his hand on my forehead. I could feel myself getting sleepy. I decided to lay my head on the green comfortable grass.
I woke up later and was in my mother's room. I got off the bed and went to walk to the bathroom since I felt dirty and I also had to get to school. I couldn't stand up. My feet were sore. I let out a scream and my door opened revealing my brother and his friends along with grandma.
"Are you okay?" Granny asked and I shook my head.
"I can't feel my feet," I cried out and she gasped.
"Where we're you going earlier?" George asked while granny walked out of the room.
"Me? Going? Earlier?" I asked confused and he nodded.
"You were walking outside and told me you can see me," he said and I shrugged. Granny walked in with a large bowl in her hands.
"Put your legs here," she said and I placed them on the pillow. She started rubbing it with whatever that was in the bowl. It was kind of relaxing and healing of course.
"What is that?" I asked. Normally witches aren't supposed to tell people about their herbs but granny tells me all about them. I mean, who am I to stop her from breaking the rules and what are the rules to her?
"I combined Urtica Dioica and Avena Sativa," she said the boys looked as confused as shit.
"What is Urgent dick and anus saliva?" Liam asked and earned a slap at the back of his head from Jason.
"Herbs," Justin answered and I rolled my eyes. They both earned a slap at the back of their heads from Jason.
"Yes it's herbs but it's not dick, it's diction," he said and I chuckled watching them bickering about.
"It's Dioica," Andrew said and we all turned to him.
"Are you also a witch?" Liam asked him and he rolled his eyes in return.
"It's not urgent it's somewhere between Aticca," my brother said and I rolled my eyes. He likes to act stupid and it's annoying sometimes because he can be a genius if he want.
"It's not any of the words you boys said," I said and they all rolled their eyes.
"Then what was it?" Liam asked and I sighed and got off the bed. I limped to the bathroom and found granny running a bath for me. I smiled and got inside.
"I'll get you some clothes," she said and I nodded. I got in the bathtub and started splashing water on me and humming all the way. I got out of the water and took the towel. I wrapped it around myself and looked at the mirror. My hair was getting light blue instead of navy blue. I dried myself and walked to the bedroom. No one was there, it was just my clothes on the bed. The ones grandma picked for me. It was a pink summer dress with flats. She also picked matching pink bra and panties. I wasn't ever gonna pick matching ones. I applied my cream on and put my undergarments and the dress on top. I put on my shoes and walked to my room. I brushed my hair and took my bag before running downstairs. The boys were eating bacon and I sat next to Liam and George. Liam was talking to Andrew while George was on the phone typing what I don't know to who I don't care. I stole his bacon and looked at Jason.
"Hey. You owe me chocolates," I said and they all turned to him. He looked at me before his eyes went to Andrew then George.
"The boys ate them," he said and I gasped looking at Andrew then George.
"You guys what?" I asked looking at George with a glare. He shook his head while Andrew rolled his eyes.
"I don't eat chocolate and you know it," George said and I looked at Andrew. He sent a glare at Jason but I snapped my fingers in front of his eyes.
"I hate sugar," he said and I looked back at Jason. He was looking at Andrew in shock.
"Please buy them or I'll call all of your girlfriends and tell all of them that you're gay," I threatened and he nodded. I smiled and finished eating.
"Time to go," George said and got up. He took my bag and led me outside. Andrew opened the passenger door for me and I shrugged before going inside. Three of the boys sat in the back. I connected my phone to the car Bluetooth. I love music but who doesn't. I played Hallelujah and heard George groan while the boys laughed at him.
"Change the song," George said and I turned to him. I raised an eyebrow and he gave me a begging look.
"Why?" I asked and he smiled sheepishly.
"You're a girl from the city. If you listen to that song you will become bullied at school," he said and my eyes went wide.
"Really?" Is he being serious? I'm not ready to get bullied at school.
"Do you remember what happened at the previous schools we went at? That day you played this song?" He asked a I nodded before changing the song. The boys were looking at me attentively as I changed the song.
"Fine," I breathed out and looked through the list. I picked Take you to hell by Ava Max. I started singing along with Justin. He was singing in male version while I sang the way Ava is singing. He made it sound amazing. The others were annoyed. We started making it a duet challenge.
"Yes i will just treat you right
So I'll take you to heaven every night
I'll never leave you by yourself
So you won't take me to hell,
Take you to hell.
Three golden rings I got on my hands,
He likes to go to the South of France
You can't tell if this is romance.
Baby what's your plan?
I don't wanna be a diva so dramatic
But that I'd the price I pay if I want your magic.
Not the kind of lover you can just get back with. No, no."
If you gonna treat me...'
"Shut up!" George yelled and we stopped singing but we were humming. These guys are jealous. We stopped at school and I got out before jumping on George's back. He started walking and the girls sent me glares. He put me off when we got to my locker. He kissed my forehead and left.
"Hey," Justin said and I looked at him with a smile.
"Nice voice you got over there," I said and he chuckled.
"I like yours better. You wanna bunk class?" He asked and I turned to him.
"Why?" I asked and he smiled. The idea sounds amazing but I wouldn't bunk not knowing what we'd do if I did.
"To sing more," he said and I laughed shaking my head.
"No thank you. Maybe at lunch," I said and left. He chuckled and walked with me to my class. He left once he saw that I really went safely in my class. The lessons went painfully slow until lunch. We were standing at the tree. Me and Justin were gonna sing again. The entire gang were here. I only know Michael and forgot about the others.
"What are we singing?" Justin asked and I smiled. We were seating on the other side of the tree while the other sat on the other.
"How about... Holy?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Ice cream?" He asked and I smiled before getting up.
"Jason. I want my chocolates," he smiled and nodded.
"I got them in my locker," he said and I nodded and sat back down.
"Okay," he said and I smiled as he started playing the song. His voice is cute.
"How about each of us sing our own song our own way?" I suggested and he nodded.
"If I win then you give me one box of chocolate?" He asked and I nodded.
"Deal," I said and shook his hand. I am never giving him chocolates. I smiled when he took his speaker and started the song he was singing but it was karaoke version. It was I like it like that by Cardi B. He was singing so beautifully in Italian and now I feel insecure.
"Your turn," he said and I smiled. I took my phone and looked through my play list. I ended up picking Personal by HRVY karaokes. He is a bae. I was singing it in a girl's perspective.
"We all know, why I'd do this to you
You're so cold and we playing like
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
You got told, danger follows everywhere I go
But you'd still be like
No no no no no no no no no
There's a part we're gonna get hurt.
You never listened so you did deserve it.
We were young and it our first loves.
So they say that we live and we learn,
Heck yeah! I'm gon mess with your head
Oh yeah, and I'll flirt with your dad
Oh yeah, make you wish you would die
Every time I move on I'll say;
Just take it personal
They all know
Everyone is blowing up your phone,
Something's telling you no no no no no no no no no
This is the part where you're gonna get hurt.
You should've listened but chose to ignore them.
We were young and I didn't mean it.
You'll have to live and then learn.
Like now, I'm gon' mess with your head.
Oh yeah! And I'ma flirt with your dad
Oh yeah make your girlfriend leave you.
Every time I move on I'll say; just take it personal.
I won't do you no favors.
Beautiful yeah I know it,
I wasn't gonna break you
I drive you crazy like...
Oh yeah! I'ma mess with your head
Oh yeah! Make your mother sit tight
Oh yeah! Your girlfriend will be mad like...
Every time I move on I'll say
Why don't you move on..."
The boys ended up staring at me when I was done. I looked at them and their mouths were wide open. George's phone was on the ground while his hand thought it was still holding it. Okay, this is awkward.
"You were freaking Amazing!" Liam yelled and pulled me up for a hug.
"Okay okay. No need to abuse my ears," I said and they laughed. Jason gave me two boxes of chocolates and I screamed before hugging him.
"You're the best," I said and placed them in my bag. George picked his phone up and shook his head. Andrew walked to Justin and started laughing at him. I felt bad for him so I interfered.
"At least he can sing. What can you do?" I asked Andrew and heard a few oooos.
"I can run a pack," he said proudly and I scoffed.
"He can run it better than you," I said and he looked at Justin who was smirking next to me.
"Yeah. What she said," he said and I nodded before crossing my hands over my chest.
"Let's do this, I give the two of you my pack for two weeks and I'll live like other wolves," he said and I smiled looked at Justin.
"Deal," I said and he smirked.
"Fine. Alpha," he said and I looked around. I felt like I was being watched. My eyes landed on the girls that were giving me death glares so I looked away. The bell rang and we walked to our lockers. The rest of the school hours went well but still slow. Even a tortoise would go faster than that. I walked out of the school with my bag and got tripped when I arrived outside. It was the girls who were staring at me earlier. I almost lost my balance but caught myself.
"Leave Andrew alone," one of them said and I took a step back.
"Alpha," I heard Andrew say behind me. The girls looked shocked at first and I felt tingles when Andrew held my waist.
"Hey," one of the girls said seductively.
"Hi. Alpha, you're needed in the office," he said and I looked at the girls. Their mouths were wide open as I was led to the office. Principal's office. We walked in and I was pushed gently to the chair.
"Ms Matilda José," the principal said and I cleared my throat.
"Sir," I said and he turned around. He was a man that looked to be in his late fifties. If he was a human then he would have wrinkled face but I knew better.
"You won't be coming to school for two weeks. I heard you have a pack to run," he said and I sent a glare at Andrew.
"Yes sir," I said and acted like I was hurt. In reality, I'm happy that I won't have to come to this hell hole. I walked out of the office and jumped up and down.
"What are you happy about?" Andrew asked and I smiled before hugging him.
"I don't have school for two weeks!" I exclaimed and he chuckled. He led me outside to his car. The guys were there already.
"We don't have school for two weeks!" Justin yelled and I took a step back. He didn't look happy about that.
"Yeah. Crap," i said pretending to be hurt but George laughed. He knew better.
"I'll bring your clothes and tell mom and granny," he said and run off. I sighed and walked with Andrew to his car. The other guys took the other cars. He drove to his pack and I smiled when I saw some kids playing happily outside his packhouse. It was huge, twice the size of my house. We got out of the car and he led me to what looked like an office.
"This will be your office for the next fourteen days. For the next two weeks or shall I say three hundred and thirty six hours," he said and I shrugged then sat on the chair before rotating on it.
"This is magic. Bring me water," I ordered him and he raised an eyebrow.
"Excuse me?" He asked and I stood up, walked towards him with a threatening look in my eyes.
"I said, bring me a glass of water. Alpha's orders," I said and he sighed before leaving the room. It worked. I shrugged and walked to his laptop. I opened it and it wanted me password. I tried his name but it was incorrect. He came back and I glared at him.
"Your water," he placed the glass in front of me and I stood up.
"Change the password?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Why?" He asked and I sighed before taking the glass and drinking the water.
"I'm the alpha and I don't know the password of the laptop?" I asked and he chuckled.
"You're bossy," he whined and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not bossy. I'm just being the alpha of Silver Creek Pack," I said and he chuckled before leaning on the table.
"Alphas don't boss people around like you do," he stated and I raised an eyebrow.
"You're not the beta nor are you the delta. Now, are you gonna give me the password?"
"The password is Luna Matilda Marilyn José."
