Chapter 7

Matilda's POV

"I'm sorry."

"For what?" Alex asked and held my face making me look at him.

"I killed him. I did it. I was the one who brought you so much pain," I started crying but he looked confused. He pulled me for a hug and held me even though I tried to push him away. He didn't let go. He held me tighter.

"You didn't kill anyone. Shhh," he said but the tears weren't stopping. How can Serene do this to me? How can she mate me to the son of the man I killed. How could she be so heartless.

"Mary?" Andrew said before pulling me to his chest. That must've been the cause of the enemy line between Alex and Andrew. I caused everything.

"Matilda," granny said and I tried to look at her. She wasn't around us.

"She wanna talk to you," George said before handing me his phone. I took it and placed it on my ear but not before turning off the speaker. I walked to the nearby tree before letting out my cries.

"I was the one who did it granny," I said and she scoffed still not understanding anything I was saying.

"Who did what?" She asked and I cried more before answering her.

"I killed Alex's father granny," I sobbed and she sighed before talking in the background, probably with grandpa.

"We will talk later sweetie. I'll be home in a few," she said and I shook my head.

"I'll be fine. It's not necessary. Enjoy your time with grandpa. Tell him I love him," I said before hanging up. I stood up to find the boys staring at me. I have a feeling they were listening to mine and granny's conversation. I walked slowly towards them. After what felt like hours, I arrived near them and handed George his phone before planning on going inside the house.

"What did you mean?" Liam asked and I looked at Alex who had a clenched jaw on.

"What?" I asked back and Liam rolled his eyes. What am I gonna tell them.

"What did you mean you killed Alex's father?" Justin asked as my eyes went to Alex. He looked back at me.

"Andrew was the one to kill my father. Not a human," Alex said and my eyes went wide. I was really the one who caused war between the two. They started shouting at each other as I ran to the house. I ran to my room and locked the door. I sat on my bed as I cried my eyes out. I killed my mate's father. I cause hatred between Alex and Andrew. Seventy two hours. It's all its gonna take to destroy the family's happiness. I think I'm a curse. I started to drift into darkness, it's what I call sleepless dreams.

"You're a murder!" That's all I've heard ever since I got in my dreams until I woke up. It was Alex's father yelling at me and telling me how I am a curse. I was expecting to not dream of anything but instead I dream of my mate's dead father. I walked to the bathroom and took a shower. I looked at the mirror once I was done. My lips look cute. Weird. I started leaning to drink the water from the tap. When I got up there was someone behind me, I looked behind me and there was no one. I looked back at the mirror to find Diana looking at me.

"Stop panicking," she said and I scoffed. She talk like it's easy to do so. I killed my mate's father for damn's sake.

"I killed his father. How can I not?" I asked and she sighed before looking back at me.

"We will get you home sooner. Can you not blow your cover in the meantime?" She asked answer I sighed before nodding.

"How do I keep calm?" I asked and she took a deep breath in before releasing it. I copied her before shaking my head.

"Use your goddesses strength to do so," she said and I nodded.

"I would if I could," I stated the abvious and she chuckled before placing her hand on her chest.

"You can. Just do it and listen to the voice in your head. It's not wrong," she said and I nodded before walking out of the bathroom to the bedroom. I put on my undergarments and walked to my closet. I picked a white stripped shirt, dirty pink high waisted shorts and my sandals. I took my back before running my hand through my hair. I walked downstairs still messing my hair. All the boys were there along with granny and mom. They all looked so sad.

"Morning," I greeted and they turned to me as they gave small smiles.

"Hey," Andrew said standing up and walking towards me.

"Hello Mattie," George said with his eyes on the picture behind me. Something weird is going on, George was supposed to be on his phone and the other guys are supposed to be gone to wherever.

"What's going on?" I asked passing Andrew and going to sit next to granny. She sighed before looking at mom and placing her hand over hers.

"Your father is fighting for custody," mom said and I looked at George. He was clenching his jaw while his eyes, that were dark in colour, were staring at the portrait on the wall.

"Why?" I asked and mom shrugged as granny squeezed her hands again.

"He is a freak. That's why," George said and I looked at him. He have hated dad ever since he turned seven. At least that's what granny told me.

"Mom, you have to fight," I said and she shook her head. She reached her hands out and reached for mine.

"I tried. He have a lot of dirt on me for not being a good mother. The wolves' rules will support him. They won't support witches," she said sadly and I nodded.

"But isn't he in a pack?" I asked and she nodded. Tears started streaming down her cheeks and I looked at George. His Wolf was in charge now.

"Sawtooth Pack," Alex said and I turned to him. He was wearing black button up shirt with navy blue jeans.

"How do you know?" George asked and I turned to him. He was now back to normal since his eyes were back to Blue.

"He is the father of my mate. Don't you think I would have researched both of my soon to be in laws?" Alex asked and I looked at him. He was smiling at me but I looked away out of shame.

"Tell us more," Andrew said and I turned to mom. Her head was now on granny's shoulder.

"He is the alpha," Alex said and I turned to him. Dad? As in like, my dad dad in human world?

"Your information is wrong," I said and he turned to me with raised eyebrows.

"What do you mean sister?" George asked me and I sighed before looking past him. The alpha of Sawtooth Pack is Syaoran.

"The alpha of Sawtooth Pack is Syaoran," I said and they turned to me. Everyone.

"Was," Andrew said and I looked at him. He started pacing as if figuring something out.

"What do you mean?" Liam asked a I nodded before standing in front of Andrew, stopping him from pacing.

"Your father marked Syaoran's mate and made him weak. He then challenged him for the pack. Syaoran lost the pack to your father a day or three ago," Alex said and I turned to look a George. He was pushing his wolf down. His veins were visible to everyone as he gripped harder on the table.

"He only want you," Mom said and I turned to her with a raised eyebrow.

"Only want me?" I asked and she nodded before getting up. She walked towards me before pulling me for a hug.

"Yes. Or else he will..." she didn't finish her sentence causing me to pull away and look at her straight in he eyes.

"He will what?" Alex asked before coming to stand behind me. Mom looked at George then granny. Her eyes travelled from George to me then to Alex then back to me.

"He will banish us from this city and... make sure George does not get accepted by any pack. Me and your... granny will not be accepted into any caven," mom said and I looked at granny. She looked so tired and so stiff.

"What did you say?" I asked and looked back at mom.

"I said no. He said that we will have to make a choice in five hours..." Justin cut her off.

"Now three," he said and I looked at mom. She started crying again before pulling me for a hug.

"I'm not giving you up," she said before kissing the top of my head.

"I will protect her," Alex said and I hugged mom tighter.

"All of you can come stay in my pack," Andrew said and I started crying with mom.

"We don't have a car," Liam stated and I pulled away from mom before wiping my tears.

"What do you mean?" I asked and he looked at Andrew before looking back at me.

"When we were driving towards here, there was a strong wind that pushed our car to the other side and into the lake. We were lucky to survive," he answered and I nodded before sitting back on the chair.

"Three days from now, danger will follow everywhere you go."

The words started replaying in my head. I sighed before taking my phone out. I went to Facebook and looked at my news feed. Nothing interesting was happening so I went to twitter and liked a few posts before turning my phone off.

"Hand me over," I said and watched as George raised his head to look at me.

"Never!" He growled in unison with Alex and Andrew. Everyone turned to them and I rolled my eyes.

"You do know that Syaoran's mate is a witch. She will do whatever it takes to make all of you suffer. Why would you wanna suffer when you could have just fixed the problem," that's not the only reason. I'm also trying to not see Alex everyday.

"That's not going to ha..." i cut her off.

"Mom. I am the solution. Can't you see that?" I asked and she shook her head.

"You are human. The Sawtooth Pack have vampires. What if they suck your blood?" She asked holding my hands and I shook my head.

"They won't," I said and she scoffed before squeezing my hands and making me stand up.

"I'd rather die with you than die without you," she said and I sighed before holding her hands.

"You're not gonna die," I said and she shook her head.

"You don't know your father," she said and I shook my head before sitting back on the chair.

"I will call some of my witches so they can tell their God to come and help you..." i cut Alex off.

"No! No more witches and no more Gods!" I yelled and he raised an eyebrow.

"Why?" George asked and I looked at granny before sighing. She was nodding her head slowly.

"We gotta go. Our class starts in five," Hank said before he left with the rest of the boys leaving Andrew, George and Alex behind.

"I'm an Earthbender," I said lowly and it felt like the world had stopped. I heard mom gasp along with George.

"What?" Mom asked and I got up before walking towards her. She sighed before taking steps away from me.

"How could you not tell your brother about it?" George asked and I turned to him. He and mom started crying and I looked at granny.

"Give her a chance to explain," she said and I turned to mom.

"I tried to tell you. I couldn't bring myself to do it and I..." she slapped me as my head craned to the side. I looked at her but she was already gone from here. I heard her bedroom door slam shut. George also stood up and left.

"I'll go and calm them down," granny said before kissing my forehead and leaving.

"Earthbender?" Andrew asked and I turned to him. I nodded my head before staring at my shoes.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Alex asked and tears started falling from my eyes. I sighed before taking a step towards them but Andrew took one back.

"I wanted to tell you so bad but I..." i was cut off by Alex's lips on mine. Once he pulled away, I stared into his eyes.

"I don't care. As long as I have you," he said and my eyes went wide. He pulled me closer as he hugged me tighter. Another hug was felt behind me so I'm guessing Andrew decided to join in.

"We love you no matter what you are," he said behind me before kissing my neck. I pulled away from the hug before turning to him. Alex placed his hands on my waist as Andrew held my hands.

"Thank you," I said with a smile and he leaned down to kiss my forehead.

"I have to go to school. Want a ride?" Alex asked Andrew and I saw him nod his head. They kissed my cheeks before running out. I walked to my room and picked my back and a small mirror. I walked back to the living room and started writing the letter. Two letters.

I hailed a cab and waited as the driver took me to away from this city but not very far from it. We arrived after three hours and I walked out of the cab but not before paying the driver and walking inside the building. It was a small room with no furniture. I took my bag and threw it on the floor. I decided meditate. I sat on my lotus position before closing my eyes.

When I opened my eyes, I was in a nice girlie room decorated with stars and pink along with white colour. I smiled before getting off the bed and walking down stairs. I walked out of the house and to what looked like a gym. There were people everywhere. Some were on the treadmill and some were on the weights. Some cute guys were on the...

"Nyx!" Someone yelled before I was knocked to the ground with Achlys on top of me.

"You're suffocating me," I whispered and she got up before helping me up.

"Sorry," she said and hugged me again.

"We need a new greeting that does not include me being under you or you jumping on me like that," I said and she shrugged before pulling me outside and into the cafe cafe-like building.

"Only the elders are allowed in here," she said and pulled me to the back of the building. Mani and Diana were sitting on the table playing arm wrestling. I think it's called that.

"Sweetie," Mani said and turned to me. Totally forgetting about Diana. She turned his hand down before jumping in joy. We got kicked out before we bust out laughing.

"I'm ready for practice," I said to Diana and she nodded before grabbing my hand.

"Come on. I'll introduce you to your masters," she said before pulling me to the direction of a huge building. We walked in and she pulled me deeper with Achlys and Mani following us even though they weren't close, they were still following us. We stopped and I looked past her. It was a huge man with huge black beard.

"Yes Diana?" The man said and I grabbed Diana's hand before squeezing it tightly.

"I brought Nyx here. You have to train her," she said making her voice scarier and I looked behind me to find another men staring at me, I quickly looked away.

"Of course. Hello Nyx, I am Hephaestus," he said and I nodded.

"When are we starting?" I asked and he chuckled before pulling me to the other side.

"We are gonna start now. I'm going to show you how to start and control fire," he said and I nodded.

"Can I do it?" I asked and he chuckled before walking towards me.

"I was the one to bless you with it. Of course you can do it," he said and I nodded. He started showing me how to make fire. Once he told me to try it, I did. Only small fire was formed. Stupid!

"You will be able to form fire if your posture is correct and your measurements are correct. Your mind should be cleared as you think of what you are trying to do only. You can hurt you self in the process so you have to do the correct stuffs. When you hold fire in your hand, you shouldn't feel the beat. It shows you and teaches you the real Depth's of the element," he said before raising his right hand as a fire was present in his palm. My eyes went wide as I looked at it.

"How do I form mine?" I asked and he chuckled before throwing the fire at the beer. The glass broke into two and I gasped.

"We will practices more tomorrow," he said before turning to his alcohol. I walked away from him and outside to Mani, Diana and Achlys. They were holding glasses and drinking in them. Once they saw me, they pulled me to them before telling me all about the gods and goddess who are having affairs. Mani had to leave so he left leaving me with Diana and Achlys. I smiled when they told me a story about Serene when she wanted to kiss Zeus. Apparently, she came home late and drunk. She saw her father as her dream man. Pretty shitty. Right?
