Chapter Four:

After about an hour and a half of driving, they arrived at their location. Tomas parked the car, and they all got out of it.

“This is as far as we can go, close enough to make a quick getaway if needed, but far enough to not be spotted.” Tomas said, AJ and Ido nodded their heads in understanding.

“Alright, when I am done scouting the place out, I will press this button on my wrist. It will transmit a signal through this.” AJ gave Ido the GPS like device.

“It will give you my exact location, and when it starts beeping it will beep two times if I am done and you guys can come. If it doesn’t beep, or starts beeping nonstop, then either A. I managed to break it in a fight, or B. I am dead or kidnapped.”

“When should, we…” Ido trailed off as AJ continued to speak.

“All I need is thirty minutes to fully scout the place no matter how big or small.

“So, we have to play the guessing game which of the two it is?” Tomas said and AJ nodded his head and both Tomas and Ido grew tick marks on their head.

“WE ARE NOT DOING THAT!”

“DON’T EVEN JOKE ABOUT THAT!”

“I am not joking, also, we don’t have much of a choice.” AJ said, giving them the look showing he was dead serious. Tomas let a sigh out before walking to Tomas.

“Be careful.” He said kissing AJ, AJ closed his eyes and relished in the kiss. It was sweet yet passionate because these kinds of missions were always the most dangerous. AJ finally parted from the kiss before Tomas hugged him tightly and AJ returned the hug.

“AJ, seriously be careful. Don’t be reckless.” Ido said, patting his shoulder.

“I’ll try… no promises. It depends on how serious the situation is.” He said with a small grin, and the two older males rolled their eyes.

“I will be okay.” He said before taking off in the direction of the Raven Claw’s Posse’s hideout. Tomas walked AJ, and Ido patted Tomas’s shoulder.

“He is the best one for this, I am sure he will be okay.”

“I know, he is just still so young. Plus, if something happens, I don’t think I can forgive myself.”

“Nothing would be your fault. Just have faith in him, he is a literal genius, if he got into trouble, he would know how to get out. Unlike us, sure we got the experience, but he has the brain smarts and the street smarts for this.” Ido said and Tomas sighed knowing his close friend was right.

“Yeah, I know. We should get as close as we can without being seen just in case.”

“Alright let’s go.” Ido said.

In just five minutes, AJ was already inside. It was empty, but he didn’t trust it, the van was definitely there. He hid behind a wall before peeking around the corner, just as he thought.

There were a small group of people there, talking. AJ quickly hid behind the wall again and listened in on their conversation.

“Did you hear? We caught one of the new guys from the Royal Bloods.”

“Wait seriously? Well, those idiots are gonna try and save him.”

“Of course, they don’t ever leave one of their own. It’s perfect bait.”

“They are probably going to send their best team. You know the one with the young assassin.”

“Yeah, we have to keep a watch out.”

“They won’t get anywhere near the boss or their comrade.” They started laughing and AJ realized just how wrong they were. The boss was definitely here. He then heard the footsteps heading his way. He mentally cursed and looked for somewhere to hide. He saw a room and realized he would have to take his chances. He quickly slid into the room. Luck was on his side, since it was only two people. They stared at him, and he stared back. They went to speak, but he skillfully slit their throats before they even made a sound. He quickly hid their bodies and hid behind the boxes that were in the room. He didn’t plan on killing two people so soon in the game, but he really didn’t have a choice. They would have alerted the entire base, which would have ruined all their plans.

He looked at his watch and he was only ten minutes in, so he had twenty minutes to scout the entire base now. He peeked out in the hall, seeing that everyone was gone. He slid out before sneaking around. The base wasn’t large enough so he should be done before the thirty minutes were up.

He walked down the stairs quietly making sure to avoid the ones that would squeak and give his position away. He held the knife in his left hand and looked around. When he reached the bottom base, he hid behind a box of stuff because there were even more on the bottom. It was like security increased the further you went into the base. Made sense, that means the deeper in, the more likely he would find the boss and the newbie.

He ran behind boxes, making sure to stay hidden. He decided he wouldn’t go further and go back to a secured location where he was less likely to be found. He quickly jumped up, still staying quiet. He went back to the room, where he first went in and pressed the button. All he had to do now was stay hidden and wait for Tomas and Ido. He sat down and cleaned his knife, before looking at the two dead bodies that he took out. He decided to check their pockets for anything that could be of use to them. He found a knife, and a phone. He took the phone and read the messages.

They were the ones who kidnapped the newbie, and that order was given by the boss. AJ then remembered he has to be careful because they have a semi-skilled sniper. He looked around at the window still making sure if they were out on rooftops, they couldn’t see him.
