For about the next week or so, Rosalinda was having an out of body experience. She went back to work two days after the funeral, as people gave their condolences. She continued to smile and push through everything, when in reality she would go home and break down into sobs and fits of anger.
But during all of this, and the struggles she still had, her boyfriend was on her side, who she loved and appreciated very much. Even during her screaming and throwing fits, as she would grab almost anything that was in proximity (beside the urn her mother's ashes sat in) she would chuck things at the floor or at Alistair's head.
Alistair had to hand it to her that she had good hand-eye coordination, even with tears blurring her vision. But, he would still hug, kiss, and whisper soothing words to her.
During the night every day of the week, one or all of Alistair's family members would come to join them for dinner.
There were nights where Rosalinda could eat, laugh, and talk, but the nights where things hit her the hardest were different:
"No! I don't want anyone over!" A balled up shirt hit the middle of Alistair's chest, as he caught it, and folded it up nicely.
"It's only for a little! Everyone is worried and they wanna make sure that you're not breaking anymore things." He said, trying to slide in a joke at the end. Rosalinda simply stared at the man, turned, and walked into her bedroom.
"No." She hissed, before slamming the bedroom door.
Alistair sighed, about to walk over and try to tear the woman from her bed, until a knock came from the door and the youngest Hamelton, Berkleigh, stuck her head in.
"Hey big bro!" She beamed, opening the door a bit more, as the rest of the family walked in as well. Alistair sighed and gave a small smile back as Valentina closed the front door.
"So! Where is the woman?" His mother asked, as he took a deep breath and pointed at her bedroom door.
Valentina's smile fell and her face hardened.
"Oh yeah? So that's what we're gonna do today, huh?" She said aloud, but more to herself. She head straight over to Rosalinda's door and slammed it open.
"Go away Alistair! I'm not doing this tonight!" Rosalinda groaned from under her blanket, as Valentina walked up to the bed and grabbed the blanket.
"Rosalinda Scott! You will get out of this bed now if it's the last thing I do!" The older woman yelled, ripping the blanket away from the curled up body. Rosalinda looked up at the older woman in shock, then pouted.
"No." She huffed, leaning over her bed to grab a spare blanket from underneath, wrapping herself up into it like a burrito. Valentina huffed, letting go of the blanket and resting her hands on her hips.
Nova and Eli walked into the bedroom, seeing the Maltese woman curled up in her blanket. Eli began to snicker, but grunted when his wife smacked his arm.
"So childish..." She mumbled to him, then looked over at Rosalinda.
"C'mon! The whole family is here and we decided to order Chinese tonight." Nova hummed, as Rosalinda lied down, her back facing the group.
"I'm not hungry..." She mumbled, as her stomach began to growl. Nova sighed and looked up at Eli.
"Please." She whispered softly to him, as the twin Hamleton groaned and walked over to Rosalinda. He hugged her, with the blanket still wrapped around her, and carried the thrashing woman into the living room and dropping her onto the couch. Rosalinda groaned, as Berkleigh flopped down on top of her, hugging her tightly.
"Hello!~" She sang into Rosalinda's ear, as Rosalinda closed her eyes, pretending to not be in a room full of people. Alistair noticed her eyes shut, walking over and kneeling down beside her.
"You're being a bitch. They've come to give you company and love for you're hard times at this moment and you're not appreciating it." He whispered softly to her, but Berkleigh was able to hear it and gasped at the name he called her.
Rosalinda snapped one eye open and squinted it at him.
"You know what, you're right. I'm wasting other's time." She hummed, sitting up and moving Berkleigh away from her gently.
"I'm sorry but I want everyone to leave, including you." She pointed a finger directly at her boyfriend, as the room fell silent. Adrian cleared his throat, stepping up next to Alistair and leaning close to his ear.
"What's going on?" He asked him softly, but before Alistair could answer the 24 year old did instead.
"I'm horribly depressed. I don't even want Alistair's company. I just wanna sleep and listen to music. I can't do my social skills right now or pull out fake smiles. If my home cannot be a safe space for me to turn into a mush of tears then I will simply go somewhere else." She stated, looking around the room.
"No. You're not leaving." Berkleigh said, hugging Rosalinda tightly and resting her head on her shoulder. Rosalinda gave her a small hug and patted her back.
Valentina looked at the girl, as she looked physically exhausted, understanding the pain she's going through, but not to the point where she's the only Scott left from her family. Valentina moved and sat next to Rosalinda, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and holding her closely.
"Sorry, we're all gonna stay. But why don't we have a quiet night with a movie?" She offered, as Rosalinda looked at her and sighed.
She knew she wasn't going to get through the woman with wanting to be alone, agreeing to the movie idea.
Everyone cheered, as Eli and his father began to get everyone's orders. Alistair noticed Rosalinda disappearance from the living room a few minutes later, after giving Eli his order and Rosalinda's. He walked down the hall, but stopped when he heard sniffling coming from the bathroom. He knew those small and cute sniffles anywhere, reaching for the handle and opening the door a bit.
He saw Rosalinda sitting on the toilet lid, wiping her tears away with toilet paper. He frowned a bit, stepping into the room and shutting the door. Rosalinda didn't notice him, as he walked over and sat on the floor, pulling the Mediterranean into his lap. He held her closely, as she leaned her head on his chest a bit, closing her eyes.
"I need to apologize to you and everyone else. You're right, I'm being a bitch. They just want to be kind and help me out." She mumbled, blowing her nose and looking up at Alistair.
He looked down at her and smiled a bit, but didn't want to comment on what she just said. Rosalinda gave a small smile back, sitting up, as she trashed the used toilet paper and straddled his lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck, looking down at him.
"I love you so much. Thank you for your patience." She mumbled, leaning in and giving him a soft and loving kiss. Alistair responded back immediately, wrapping his arms around her waist. He smirked against her lips, moving his hands down her body a bit and squeezing her butt.
Instead of Rosalinda squealing and jumping away, she simply moaned quietly against his lips, causing his cock to jump in his pants.
"Don't moan like that. I can't fuck you while my family sits outside this door." He growled softly to her, looking into her eyes. Rosalinda noticed the lust beginning to swirl in his eyes, smiling a bit. She leaned close to his ear, taking a shaky breath.
"Can we do more when they leave?" She asked softly against his lobe, as he smiled widely and devilishly. He crashed his lips against her's roughly, giving her a small hint for what's to come later.
The two pulled away from each other and fixed themselves, heading into the living room, as Eli and Nova walked back into the house with bags of food.
"We got the food! Now let's eat and watch a movie!"
