Mega stones and Tower of Mastery
I continued training my body as well as my pokemon while I was on my way to Shalour city. I passed Geosenge town on my way to Shalour and looked at the famous ancient stones. I sensed some sort of energy on them but it was so subtle that I didn't feel like investigating any further.
After Geosenge, I went to the reflection cave, and it was absolutely stunning. The blue crystals were stunningly beautiful. The inside of the crystals was light blue while the outer shell of the crystal was a transparent blue. The darkness of the cave emphasized the beauty of the crystals even more by letting them light up the inner parts of the cave.
I did some exploring in the cave to see if the inner structure was similar to the games, and surprisingly they were....except the cave was about 15x bigger. I wanted to really test if the information from the x and y games. After some more in-depth exploring, I saw a very shiny stone stuck inside a crystal. "Is that what I think it is?"I try to push the crystal to retrieve the stone, but my fist barely left a dent. I then decided to get the panda gang to help out so I let out the trio. Rakaige, Kinkaku, and Ginkaku come out doing some kind of weird.....nah EPIC poses, and for some reason, I could've sworn I heard some music play for a split second.

"Panda gang go break that crystal" I tell them, and in no time they all started beating the shit out of the crystal. After their constant punches, the crystal shattered into pieces. "Thanks gang". I return the Pangoro's and take the piece of the crystal that contains the stone, and started stopping on it until I could pick up the stone from it. I took the stone out of the crystal and saw that it was none other than a mega stone. "If I go off information from the games, this would be an alakazite".
After putting the alakazite in my bag, I get out of the cave and go towards Shalour City. According to the rumors I've been hearing, he has been looking for a successor for the gym. I guess it's around this point where Korrina impresses the gym leader, and I assume this gym leader named Kingston gave her a lucarionite. I'm pretty sure the only people who should know about mega stones are the gym leaders, the league, and maybe some other high-ranking trainers so I'm already at a disadvantage. Unfortunately for Korrina, I'm planning to try to go snag that Lucarionite. I don't think anyone else in the world currently understands the potential of mega stones, and that's why I plan to take advantage of that naiveness to collect as many mega stones as possible. I'm going to have to take the mega stone, without becoming a gym leader since I don't have time for such meaningless things right now.
After a few days worth of travel, I make it to Shalour city. I could already see the tower of mastery AKA shalour gym since it was so huge. I immediately go to the gym but then I see a huge line in front of the gym. They are all positioned in front of a booth, so I just decided to join the line. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I was finally in front of the line, and the woman at the booth gave me a pen. I looked down and saw papers with names of trainers, and 3 pokemon they will be using. I wrote down my name, as well as the names of Gato, Froakie, and Chespin. I then asked the lady about the details of the 'event' since I wasn't sure what the event actually was, but instead of answering the woman handed me a brochure and told me to get out of the line. I was a bit annoyed at her rudeness but then I saw the bags under her eyes, and how dead her eyes looked so instead of anger towards her I felt pity.
After signing in to a pokemon center, I went into my room and read what the brochure said. After skimming through it for a few seconds I understood what the event was. It was called the "Tower of Mastery Battle Royale". There will be 4 matches of free for all where the 3 pokemon of trainers will have to work together to be the last team standing. There will be mystery prizes from the Shalour gym leader himself, Kingston. It's a decent idea and it seems like it caught quite a bit of attention, especially since high-ranking trainers around Kalos came to participate. Funny enough, what Kalos considers to be high-ranking trainers, are actually low-ranking trainers to other region terms (Kanto, Johto, etc). Also since Diane the future 'champion' in canon isn't even born yet, so unlike other regions, Kalos doesn't even have a rising star like Red, or Blue from Kanto, Lance from Johto, Cynthia from Sinnoh, Steven and Wallace from Hoenn, etc. Anyways, with me in Kalos, that's going to change but that's beside the point. Luckily for me, the tournament is going to be held in 2 days, so in those 2 days, I'm going to train the teamwork and coordination of the trio I chose

I finished some very intense teamwork training I made for my 3 pokemon lineup. I picked I go inside the gym along with many other trainers and go to one of the many receptionists to confirm my entry in the tournament since some people chicken out last minute. The receptionist hands me a number, which is the group number I'm in which is #2. After finishing up with that, I wait in the lobby which was around the front desk. Soon players that got the match #1 ticket were asked to go to the 4th floor, where one of the many arena's were located. Then the people with the match #2 ticket were asked to go to the 5th floor, which made me realize that the matches would all be taking place at the same time.
I reached the 5th-floor arena with about 30 others. The arena was very flashy with multicoloured lights, and was huge, perhaps about 600 meters wide. There was also plenty of seats behind us, which would give a good view of the arena. Soon a voice could be heard from the speakers. "Trainers, please send out your selected trio on the arena, and take a seat in the viewing area". After all the trainers got settled into their seats, and all the pokemon teams were spread out across the arena the voice who I presume to be from the commentator says "READDYYYYYY, 3......2.........1, LET THE BATTLE ROYALE COMMENCE!".
