What's in the basement?

Vladis was keen enough to notice her bruised lips. He could guess what happened but refrained himself from asking the obvious. He was a sensitive person so he knew it will only hurt Resel's self-respect if he enquired about it. Secondly, it was her personal matter. He has no right to interfere in her matters.

Resel smiled but her lips sting so she nodded her head. "I fell down on the stairs on my way back" She explained herself.

"Ah! I see. Are you fine? Shouldn't you apply some medicine to it?"

With a shake of her head, Resel expressed her dissatisfaction with the situation. "It's okay. I'm fine." Let's continue our search."

Vladis nodded and proceeded to the library.

Resel was in a prickle. What should she do in this situation?

Is it appropriate for her to tell them what her father had asked her to do? She wasn't sure how they'd respond, though. She wasn't their friend or something, after all. She didn't have much in common with any of them.
