Unease

In a blink of an eye, three men lunged towards them. Vladis stabbed the first man but failed to stab the second one. The one which managed to escape went for Rune, but Rune was swift enough to injure him.

There was something unusual about them.

The men seemed to be different but identical. Their iris had darkened and their lips had cracked. It looked like a dug-up corpse. Even the way they all moved was odd, and fighting with them was a breeze.

They didn't seem to be a major threat, but they persisted. They don't appear to feel pain, no matter how badly they've been stabbed or injured.

"What exactly are they? They just keep coming at us, no matter what I do." Rune was baffled.

"Don't you think they're alike?" Valdis interrogated him as he fought two living corpses.

"Wait, what? Seriously, now isn't the time for your little game of questions and answers, but now that you mention it, I think I've seen them." Rune pondered his options.
