That morning Jo was woken up by a sweet smell of cinnamon baked sconces, mixed with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Lu Ye Ze had just entered in their bedroom, holding a tray that contained Jo's breakfast.

"Hmmm, it smells delicious darling!" Said Jo while stretching up. Her body was sore all over. This hungry wolf couldn't wait to 'unpack' his Christmas 'present' and devoured her whole, last night.

The man placed the tray on the bed and leaned over, leaving a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Good morning" Said the man. Jo put her hands around his neck and kissed his lips.

"Mmmm. It is good indeed" She replied.

Jo looked down at her breakfast tray and noticed a little gift box.

"Oh! This?"

"Open it!" Said Lu Ye Ze.

Jo carefully opened the small box and looked inside. Her eyes suddenly started sparkling involuntarily at the jewellery inside. A custom made Cartier watch, encrusted with precious stones, like emeralds, rubies and black diamonds was placed inside.

"I have never seen something like this before, its stunning!" Expressed the amazed girl.

"Do you like it?" Asked the man.

"Yes! I love it!" Replied the girl, while pouncing on him and kissing him all over his face.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

The man chuckled lightly, he helped her up and said.

"Eat you breakfast and get ready! We will leave in 30 minutes!"

"Got it!" replied the girl, while putting her watch on her wrist.

The pair was soon ready to take off. In the helicopter Lu Ye Ze, pulled Jo in his arms and said.

"You can rest a little longer, I will wake you up when we get there" The man then took a blanket from under his seat compartment and wrapped Jo up tightly.

"Mnn!" She replied, cuddling in his warm embrace. Two hours later, they've reached their destination.

As soon as the helicopter landed, Lu Ye Ze's Uncle and Aunt came to greet him.

"Ye Ze, Ri-El, welcome!"

Lu Ye Ze stepped down of the helicopter, he was wearing a formal black tailored suit and had his woolly trench coat over it. The man stretched his hand to help his wife. Jo was dressed in a Chinese traditional attire, her gown was made out of fine white lined silk, on which an embroidery of delicate red flowers were meticulously displayed. Her make-up was light and crisp, as per of a distinguished deity. In her black silk hair, she wore a white gold and ruby hair pin, while at her wrist Lu Ye Ze's gift was silently ticking away.

"Uncle Su, Aunt, I hope you both are well!" Lu Ye Ze bowed in front of the elders, greeting them cordially, followed carefully by his wife, who bowed graciously in respect for them as well.

The staff of the mansion came forward to greet the Patriarch and his wife too. Preparations for this day have started two months ago and everything was on point. The event will start with the annual meeting of the men, while the women will prepare the Gods offerings and all the equipment needed for the journey up the mountain.

After Lu Ye Ze left for the meeting in the South Hall, Jo as well headed to Jin Garden to meet with her mother in law.

"Mother!"

"Ri-El dear, come!"

Jo entered the courtyard of Jin Garden followed by two personal aids that Lu Ye Ze had personally selected for her. Lin Yan was wearing a traditional red and white qipao as well. She had informed Jo before hand, that she should wear this type of attire for today's memorial.

Lin Yan took the young girl's hands in hers, and said.

"Young Madam Lu, your journey as the Mistress of the Lu family and wife of the Patriarch, start's here!"

Dear readers, I apologise for the sudden slow down in updates. I have gone back to work this week and my free time has considerably reduced. The story is close to its end though, I reckon there won't be more than 10ep left, so please look up for my updates and hang in there till the end.
