(CHAPTER ONE)
"Liz, Liz, LIZ!" Isabelle laughed as she pushed Liz in the arm.
"Owww" Liz holding her arm, falling out of the daydream. "What was that for?"
"What were you daydreaming about?" Isabelle looking softly into Liz's eyes asked.
She didn't have to ask to know what she was day dreaming about. Omega's at Liz's age only thought of a few things, Alpha's, what they wanted to be when they got older, and there happy future. That's if they weren't already trapped into a situation with an alpha mate.
Isabelle being twenty-four still remembered clearly when she was sixteen like Liz. Daydreaming of a perfect life with an alpha, kids, and a nice house. Sadly life wasn't so simple alpha's placed claims on omega's not caring for what they wanted, only about themselves.
She never knew why she hadn't listened when being told, or why none of the other children didn't either. All she wanted to do was help, but then again she did, at that age she didn't want to see the world for what it was. It was cruel, she just didn't want anyone she cared for to learn the hard way.
Seeing the look on Isabelle's face made Liz realize what was going through Isabelle's mind, which made her scoff. "Why do you work in a book store, and not believe in the fairy tales in them? How can you believe the world is so evil?"
Not understanding a damn thing Isabelle had ever tried to tell her, she decided enough was enough. She finally met a decent guy, and she wasn't going to be like Isabelle forever alone. Taking care of kids who don't need help, well might need help, but don't need to be scared of the world.
"I know your just trying to help me, but I found someone. I know you don't understand, but I am leaving."
This is the conversation Isabelle had going through her head like flashbacks. Sense it happened a year ago. Everyday wondering if she could have just begged her to stay, found any way just to tell her she was sorry. Isabelle tried contacting Liz but everytime she tried the phone said out of service. It's like she just disappeared, till one day she got a call about a month ago from Liz.
"Isabelle are you there?"
"Yes I'm here are you okay?" Isabelle was shocked to get a call from Liz.
Liz seemed scared and broken, Isabelle didn't want to think of what happened to her friend, but she put her feeling aside to help.
"No I'm not okay, you were right something's going on he's not who I thought he was. Please help me before..."
"Before what, LIZ BEFORE WHAT!?" No amount of yelling or screaming was going to get a answer, and it broke Isabelle.
The phone cut off not giving Isabelle enough time to reassure her friend that she was going to save her, that everything was okay, but was it?
She remembered what it was like to follow the call into a house in the middle of the night. Only to find a chloroformed rag near the phone. The house looked perfect, almost too perfect. She ripped through notes anything that would tell her where Liz was but it was no use.
Not until she saw a blue folder barely visible. When Isabelle pulled it from the crease of the bookshelf she thought it was a pretty color. She opened it to find a date on many papers a dinner. It had to be more than that nobody hides a folder full of papers on one dinner for nothing. Is this what Liz figured out, was this a clue, or was this just another dead end? Whatever it was she wasn't giving up.
