Nothing Darker

Once Cole finally know what dinner part Dylan was talking about everything on his desk went flying. He was a terrible man that he knew, he would never lie and tell somebody he wasn't. He was one of the worst people out there next to Chase and Dylan of course. But there was one thing he would never do, and that was participate at that dinner party.

They went every year to make sure it didn't get out of hand. The dinner its self was terrible, but what happened after the dinner was what he hated. There was nothing Darker in his eyes, it was an auction. An auction that sold people, mainly women, young women. Most of them less than thirty, and even some that were under technical drinking age. He believed himself to be the worst of the worst, but not when it came to slavery rings.

Human trafficking he could never do. That every year one of the hosts would send them a folder, it had names, photos, and information for high bidders. The items being sold, and how old they were, where they came from. He didn't believe humans were objects you can buy. If anything every single buyer there should have been put in cages sold to the many omega's, and many other people that were being sold. Maybe just maybe it would level out the playing field, but not everyone believed that.

Many people believed omega's belonged to alpha's. As part of him believed that, another part of him believed each person should have a choice. A choice on who they wanted to live with. To spend there life with, not be forced with someone because they are their mate. Most of the time when they would get there, to the sold called dinner party. The three of them ate just enough, that at the end of the night they had something to throw up. They would stay long enough through the auction to make sure things were staying smooth. Well as smooth as they could be, but they couldn't stay and watch as the so called items were distributed to the buyers. Knowing many of or the omega's wouldn't last the night.

Cole couldn't sit at ease. If anything it only made him angrier. Why had there little thief wanted to see those papers? Did she have a friend that would be there? Did one of the many buyers do something to her? Either way it didn't sit easy with him.

"Chase I want extra security in there. Dylan I want you to look over the papers and tell me if anything looks off, more off then it normally does. If so tell me. I want to know why that woman was so interested in it."

Cole was the boss he he always had been ever sense they got together and created the mafia. He made the tough decisions, he kept the three of them together, even when they all thought it was a bad idea. When it was better to be alone. He fought for them, he protected them and they trusted him. Lately he had been off, he couldn't even trust himself, not with the way he felt about her. Cole thought if he knew she was okay they could leave her alone, but he also knew it was to much of a risk.

The other two nodded, and trusted his requests just as much as they always had.
