What Day Is It

Isabelle woke up inside the store on her made bed. Stretching she got up, and looked down. She was still dressed from when she went and broke into Cole's office. Whipping her eyes she went into the bookshop visitor area, to find books torn off the wall, and shelves fallen to the ground.

"Again really?"

She went and checked the door to see the lock had been smashed out, sighing she wished she had set up a stronger lock, but that isn't something she could afford.

What day was it, how long had she been out? Internet was terrible here, she did all of her transactions off line, with no computer. So she didn't have a way of telling the date or time, except for her calendar, and her store clock. Her clock was smashed, and her calendar wouldn't really help sense she didn't know what day it was to begin with.

All she knew was that there was a young omega at her house waiting for her. Sense her shop was no longer shopable, at least at this time. She walked out and tried to lock up, remembering it was smashed out. It was just one more thing added to her list of things to do.

Walking down the street, she couldn't help but feel like she was just here. Of course she would feel like this, she walked down this street everyday well most days, but it felt different like something bad happened. She had a bad dream when she woke up, she woke up in a sweat, but she couldn't remember it. Which was luckier than other night's, so she wasn't complaining.

Haute Grove was a beautiful town, well most of it was. The rich people made there streets pretty with gardens, porch swings, and pillars on the front steps. Even the ghetto's weren't terrible. They consisted of trailer houses the occasional diner, but most of all they had street lights, doors, and locks.

The edge of Haute Grove was neglected, rejected almost. The town didn't want them, and the neighboring towns really didn't want them. It was called no man's land. No street light, well they did, but they didn't work. Power lines went down years ago. Doors were either not there, or they had sheets. If for some rare chance they actually had doors on them, they had bullet holes through them.

So Isabelle was thankful she didn't live there. She didn't live in rich community, but she didn't live in the ghetto's either. She was just a normal citizen, most people would know who she was if it wasn't for the fact that she was never set up through the system. She wasn't stupid enough to take security from idiots, no offence, but she knew more than most of the moran's that claim to be experienced.

If Isabelle tried buying the house on her own she would never have been able to afford it. Even now with owning the bookstore, and working at night at a dinner she had to steal. She didn't steal a lot, she only really stole from police, security companies, and places like Cole's. The police to keep omega's out of the system, security places so that she could hack into it and make her own, and Cole's only when a friend was in danger. She tried to relocate omega's, but they always got caught not wanting to live in secret or fear.

The house belonged to a friend that once helped her, helped her live. Gave her a place to stay, to work, and then one day she took off. Leaving the house to Isabelle, and the store to her as well. Hoping Isabelle would take care of the other omega's, Isabelle didn't have to be asked of course she would.

Once she got home she unlocked her door and put in the alarm pin so it wouldn't go off. thank god she had door's, windows, a working shower, a bed. None of it was pretty, or perfect but she was alive.

Walking into her bedroom, she saw jane laying in her bed asleep. She didn't know how long she was gone, but she was glad to be back. Brushing her teeth, changing cloths, she decided maybe she could work a double at the diner to make up extra money to fix the bookshop.

Isabelle rubbed janes shoulders and she frowned. Jane rubbing her little eyes started to cry. Isabelle sat down and cuddled jane

"Hey, hey it's okay, I'm back now." Isabelle comforted Jane till she fell asleep.

Jane knew Isabelle was going to take another shift, she said she would just sleep while Isabelle was gone. The one omega that wanted to be safe, and not on the radar. It made Isabelle feel better.
