The second weapon of Gilgamesh part 1

The epic tale

The year is now around 2790-2490 BC.

10 years have passed in Uruk, and even through 10 years have passed within Uruk, King Gilgamesh (and his mother, Ninsun) both don't look a day over 20.

It is only poor Myrddin that has aged, oh, and the kids of course, all three have become the embodiment of youth and beauty in their own rights.

Melitron now has short blonde/white hair, along with her white eyes.

Trud now has fluffy brown hair with her brown eyes.

Chrysaor has long black hair, along with his yellow eyes, oh, and Pegasus is now living within Uruk, the two sons of Medusa are reunited.

Trud is flying in the air with the help of Hovvarpner.

Chrysaor is flying in the air with the help of his brother Pegasus, and Melitron is flying in the air, because she can, and all of them are flying above Uruk.

" Wow, Chrysaor, your brother is almost as fast as Hofvarpnir " said Trud.

" Please don't underestimate my brother " said Chrysaor with a smile.

Melitron just flew past Pegasus and Hofvarpnir.

" Well, it seems that Hofvarpnir and Pegasus will never be as fast as our dear Meli " said Trud.

" Don't let it bother you, I still think that you are the fastest " said Chrysaor while petting his brother.

Suddenly Chrysaor, Trud and Melitron all heard a voice yelling at them from the ziggurat.

" Come down here! Dinner is ready! " yelled Myrddin.

All of them flew down to the ziggurat.

They now all landed near the throne room.

" Hello Myrddin, nice weather we are having " said Melitron.

" Hey, Myrddin, it seems that you have another wrinkle " said Trud.

" I DO NOT " said Myrddin.

" I still think that you look as young ever " said Chrysaor.

Myrddin smiled.

Two guards then come and took Hofvarpnir and Pegasus to the stables.

The three young adults were now before King Gilgamesh, who was sitting on his throne.

" I understand, that it is fun enjoying yourselves, but do remember to keep it in moderation, or at least that is what Myrddin wanted me to say " said King Gilgamesh.

" What is so wrong with us enjoying ourselves " said Trud to Myrddin.

" Nothing, but the problem of the matter is, that you are enjoying yourself to much, Trud, you are falling behind your studies " said Myrddin with a strict look on his face.

Trud suddenly started to sweat a bit.

" Well…. Meli and Chry are just as behind as me…. " said Trud.

" Actually, Melitron and Chrysaor are already done with their studies " said Myrddin.

Trud's jaw dropped, Trud then looked at Melitron and Chrysaor, and both Chrysaor and Melitron were smiling, Trud felt betrayed.

" Trud " said King Gilgamesh.

" Yes sire " said Trud.

" Do try to catch up to Melitron and Chrysaor " said King Gilgamesh with a kings look.

" Yes… sire… " said Trud.

" Well, now that, that is over with, I have made dinner, let us go and eat " said Myrddin.

And so, all of them enjoyed dinner, except for Trud, who had a hard time enjoying dinner.

Later.

At night.

Everyone were sound asleep within the Ziggurat, and even all of Uruk was asleep, but there was one individual who was not asleep, Melitron.

Melitron was within her room within the ziggurat, Melitron was on her bed, looking up at the ceiling.

Melitron then stood up from her bed, and then Melitron teleported away.

Melitron was now within Kur, the kingdom of Ereshkigal, or also known as, the underworld.

Melitron looked around Kur, and saw seven gates, Melitron walked through all seven gates without any problem, Melitron even come across Neti, Lamashtu, Pazuzu and gallús, but Melitron just walked past them all without any problem, all of them even tried to attack Melitron, but all their attacks had zero to no effect on Melitron, so she just ignored them all.

Melitron kept on walking until she reached Ganzir, the palace of Ereshkigal.

Melitron walked up to Ganzir, were she met three children, Manungal, Namtar and Ninazu, the children of Ereshkigal.

" Hold, trespasser, what business do you have in our mother's kingdom " said Namtar.

Melitron looked at the little boy trying to play man.

" I wish to speak to your mother " said Melitron.

" She is so pretty " said Manungal silently to herself.

" Our mother do not have the time for the likes of you, now begone " said Ninazu.

Melitron looked at the other boy who was also acting as a man.

Suddenly a voice could be heard within all Kur.

" My children, let her pass " said the voice.

The three children stepped out of the way, so Melitron could walk within Ganzir.

Manungal looked at Melitron (with sparkles in her eyes), Melitron looked at Manungal, with a smile on her face, Manungal got all shy, so she hid her face.

Melitron was walking until she reached the throne room within Ganzir.

Within the throne room was Ereshkigal sitting on her throne.

" What is it that you want from me? " said Ereshkigal.

" Please show me, where Enkidu is buried " said Melitron.

Ereshkigal looked at Melitron.

" Very well " said Ereshkigal.

Ereshkigal and Melitron walked over to the spot where Enkidu is buried.

The spot was actually close to Ereshkigal's palace.

" This is where King Gilgamesh's beloved Queen Enkidu is buried " said Ereshkigal.

Melitron was now standing over Enkidu's grave.

Melitron was quiet for a moment, Melitron then said

" Tell me something, why can't I sense Enkidu's soul anywhere within Kur "

Ereshkigal was quiet.

" At first, I thought that you just put Enkidu's soul where he is buried, but now that I stand here, over his grave, I still can't sense his soul " said Melitron.

" Do you really wish to know the answer, for trust me, you won't like it " said Ereshkigal.

Melitron now had tears in her eyes.

" Tell me… " said Melitron.

" When the gods made Enkidu, they did not give Enkidu a soul, but then something strange happened, after having spent all that time with King Gilgamesh and then even giving birth to Ur-Nungal, Enkidu somehow gained a soul, something that was truly a miracle, but the day, the gods killed Enkidu, they also destroyed Enkidu's soul, which resulted in Enkidu no longer existing " said Ereshkigal.

The tears in Melitron's eyes did not stop rolling down her cheeks.

Ereshkigal looked at Melitron.

" Now tell me something, did you come down here in the hopes of reviving Enkidu? " said Ereshkigal.

Melitron was quiet.

" I see, but even if you were to revive Enkidu's body, without Enkidu's soul, the revived Enkidu would have no memories of his past life, no memories of King Gilgamesh or even Ur-Nungal… " said Ereshkigal.

Melitron had no words to say.

After awhile of silent.

Melitron turned to Ereshkigal, Melitron then said

" I am sorry for troubling you, please forgive me "

" Think nothing of it, just send my regards to King Gilgamesh " said Ereshkigal.

Melitron then teleported back to Uruk.

Melitron was back in her room within the ziggurat.

Melitron was just standing in the middle of her room, without moving.

" So, was the underworld fun? " said a voice.

Melitron turned and saw King Gilgamesh standing at her door.

" Sire… how did you know? " said Melitron.

King Gilgamesh smiled.

" Do not underestimate my powers, so what was your goal within the underworld? " said King Gilgamesh.

Melitron was quiet for a moment.

" Do not make your King ask again " said King Gilgamesh.

" I…. visited Enkidu's grave…. " said Melitron.

King Gilgamesh was now the one who was quiet.

" Why? " said King Gilgamesh.

Melitron hesitated to answer.

King Gilgamesh walked over to Melitron, King Gilgamesh was now standing in front of Melitron.

" I said why? " said King Gilgamesh while looking Melitron straight into her eyes.

" I…. went to the underworld…. in the hopes of…. reviving Enkidu " said Melitron.

King Gilgamesh was quiet again.

Melitron looked at her King, but King Gilgamesh showed no emotions.

King Gilgamesh then said

" And that was when Ereshkigal told you that Enkidu no longer has a soul "

Melitron was surprised, Melitron then said

" Sire…. you knew "

King Gilgamesh just looked at Melitron.

" Of course I knew, I knew from the very beginning, and it was that knowledge that almost led me to start a war against the gods, if my mother and Utu(Shamash) had not calmed me down, I would have definitely fought the gods " said King Gilgamesh with a smile.

Melitron also smiled.

" But… even if I went to war against the gods, that war would not bring Enkidu's soul back, what is destroyed can not be brought back " said King Gilgamesh with a little sad tone in his voice.

Melitron just looked at her King.

" Well, all of that does not matter now, so you need not think about it anymore, for now, be sure to get some rest " said King Gilgamesh.

" Yes sire " said Melitron.

King Gilgamesh then walked over to the door, but before King Gilgamesh could leave, Melitron said

" Sire, whatever happens, we will always be here by your side "

King Gilgamesh turned around and saw Melitron smiling, while she was being light up by the moon.

King Gilgamesh smiled, King Gilgamesh left, and went to his own room.

At the valleys near Uruk, that same night.

Jabru was standing on a mountain looking up at the heavens.

"' My Queen! My Queen! Please come back down to me, I will be sure to get your revenge this time! " yelled Jabru.

But that was when a lion could now be seen from behind Jabru.

Jabru turned around and looked at the lion, Jabru then said

" Who are you? "

" I am a messenger of Queen Ishtar, I am here to inform you, that Queen Ishtar will not be coming down from heaven unless you prove results " said the now talking lion.

Jabru just looked at the lion.

" Please go and tell my Queen that I need to see her to feel motivated " said Jabru.

" Queen Ishtar saids: that her name and your memories of her should motivate you enough " said the talking lion.

Jabru could not believe what the talking lion just said.

" Well, I will be going now, but I will return if my Queen has any other message for you " said the talking lion, the talking lion then left.

Jabru looked up at the heavens.

" You just wait my Queen! I will produce results that shall make you mine forever! " yelled Jabru with a grin.
