Nora's Prelim's (2)

----Nora----

I don't get why some people don't get certain messages, I mean, we had castrated a dude and yet they weren't afraid of us.

Either those guys had a death wish or they were extremely certain they could beat us.

They looked at us, waiting for the signal to start, I could see the condescending look in thei eyes, every god damned people looked at our friend group like we were useless.

Em and Rachel weren't respected because nobody believed that they could have any significant use in battle, especially because their abilities could be stopped in one fell swoop.

Inside if me, I felt this rage coming up, I had lost my parents, gotten powers I hadn't asked for, sent to a school that had given my a crazy curriculum and these dudes thought that they were better than me and my friends.

"We have a problem, we don't know what powers they have so we can't really prepare for it."

Rachel wanted to create a good strategy but we had nothing, we needed to know their abilities for a plausible plan.

At that moment I was hit by a massive headache, after it was done I for some reason know their exactabilities and weaknesses, plus how they used them.

I was caught up in thought, if this was what I thought it was, I had a solution to my problem, I could learn to use other peoples powers with this, at least if I could figure out how to use this new ability I discovered.

"The one in the right is a telekinetic, he mostly uses it to move objects up to half his weight, when he does, he drops all his mental defenses making him extremely susceptible to your ability Rachel.

The one inthe middle is an empath, able tofeel our emotions and flooding our brains, even able to make us see things if he puts in a lot of effort, same weakness there.

The last one can boost their powers and gives them a strong mental defense, although he needs to stay put to be able to use it."

Em and Rachel looked at me in surprise. "What, I have enhanced strength and can assess peoples powers, the way they use them and their weaknesses."

They were mixed, happy that I finally told them, and a bit angry that I'd been able to do that and never told them.

"Look, Homer told me not to tell anyone, mostly because people don't like those who know everything about their abilities without them telling those people. They can help us kick these guys asses, so stop looking at me like that, it's creepy."

They had this murderous look on their faces, it was scary.

Strongarm looked at us, annoyed that we still hadn't shouted that we were ready, so we did, starting the battle.

I ran for straight for the guy who could boost their abilities, we didn't need that right.

I was quickly blocked by chairs flying towards me, where they got them is still a mystery to me.

It was finally time to test how hard I could punch, so I tried to keep running while punching the in blocking me directly, surprising it worked.

I kept running, leaving destroyed chairs in my wake.

I looked at them and they still looked so condescending, I arrived at the dude who could boost powers and punched him so hard he got knocked out cold, he also nearly broke his neck and his nose took some time to heal.

Rachel took the opportunity of them having no mental defenses to mind control the telekinetic to attack his friend who Rachel had been trying to keep busy by attacking him with spells.

We worked like a machine, executing our plan with uncanny precision. we had defeated them in less than a minute, having the information of peoples powers and weaknesses really helps when making a plan.

Everyone looked at us like we were monsters, especially at me because before I joined they had been seen as minor threats, now they had fought two battles and both had ended in overwhelming victory on our side.

Strongarm looked kind of ... proud? The dude was weird, what can you say. We all were, I mean, we had powers that maw no sense.

At least now I knew a little more about my own abilities.
