Leaving the Yvonne mansion to skip the last lesson of the day, Victon head towards the Central Market. He was planning on getting something for the little girl when he stops by later. Last time she gave him bread, so he thought he would get her something nice.

Going through the crowded market he looked through the variety of things being offered. Since the girl looked like a Lolita doll, Victon thought a hair pin would be cute. He came by a stand filled with many different colored jewelries. Victon picked up a hair pin that intrigued him, he thought it was the perfect pin for her.

Victon didn't like little kids as they were scared to approach him. Even his two baby brothers cried when they look at him. It's not like he have horns on his head or grew fangs okay? Children don't come near Victon, that was the situation until little Meg came into the picture. He didn't know what was it about Megan that had captured his attention, maybe it was her pretty innocent little eyes. Regardless if he was attached to her pretty eyes, he didn't feel annoyed or bothered when he played with her unlike the spoiled children of the nosy nobles. If anything it was a pleasant and happy feeling to be with her. It was as if she was melting his icy demeanor with her positive attitude.

After buying the hair pin, Victon thought its about time to go to the back yard to meet little Meg. He walked through the crowds again, but then bumped into something that he thought was a dog. Victon looked down and he froze, his eyes widen in surprised.

"Little Megan? What are you doing here by yourself?" Victon bent down kneeling one leg to look up to the girl's eyes. He froze again when he saw her eyes moisten with tears threatening to fall out.

"I-I was with m-mama, I went to look at this book, but when I turned back m-mama was gone" little Megan said hugging the book with her tears finally falling down to her cheeks.

"Alright it's okay, I'll help you find your mom okay?" Victon said with reassurance.

Little Megan nodded as she realized, "Ah! Wait I have to give this book back to the big man." She put the book back only for Victon to pick it up again.

"You want this book right? I'll get it for you" Victon said as he gave took out his pouch and gave the merchant silver coins for the book. He then return the book to little Meg.

"Thank you!" Megan said with a smile on her face realizing the dimples on her cheeks.

Walking through the hand in hand, the two searched for Mama Vinnesia. By the time they reached the middle of the market, little Meg was tired. Noticing her lack of energy, Victon led her to a stall that sells lamb skewers and juice. After buying a bag of lamb skewers and two glasses of juice, the two settled down on an open area near a large fountain. They sat on the grass, leaning on the tall tree that shielded them from the hot sun rays. Victon opened the bag of skewers and gave a skewer and the juice to Megan.

"Thank you!" Megan said as she accepted the pieces of meat being offered.

"So what's the book about that got you running away from you mom?" Victon asked.

"We were talking to this man that sell sugar and he was taking about a Forrest and how there's this dragon that lives there. But Megan don't know anything about the dragon so Megan thought the books would have the answers" little Meg answered. "Look this book has pictures of the dragon! It's like a story when I turn the pages, but I can't read yet, so I thought I would ask mama."

Her eyes teared up as she said, " when I turned around mama wasn't there."

Victon patted her head and said, "It's alright, I'm here. If we can't find your mom by sunset, then I'll take you home, so eat your skewers now." Victon's heart rate jumped when he saw her eyes tearing up, if she cries now he wouldn't know what to do to console her.

Megan nodded her head and ate the skewer. The two woofed down the bag of lamb skewers and finished their juice when little Meg noticed someone familiar near the fountain.

"IT'S MAMA!" The little girl yelled as she made her way to the lady who just sat down on the edge of the large fountain.

"MAMA!" Megan yelled as she ran to her mama.

The lady turned around to see her missing daughter coming at her at great speed.

"Megan!" Mama Vinnesia yelled as she embraced her daughter. "Oh my god, I was holding her hand how did I lost you? But thank god you found me."

"Sorry mama, I saw a cart filled with books and I thought it might have dragon stories so I went to look. I didn't see you, but Victon came to rescue me!" Little Meg said as Victon strolled by the two mother and daughter pair.

"Oh my goodness, thank you young man for helping her. Please if you don't mind coming with her to our bakery, I'll give you something sweet as something to show my appreciation" said Mama Vinnesia as she held Victon's hands.

After thinking about it for three seconds, Victon said, "sure".

Megan held her mama's hand on her left and Victon's hand on her right. They walked through the crowds and left the market.
