Humility one time paid Red a visit. Gabby was still busy with work in the office. And had Red's crow with her to keep her on guard.
After Red finished his due, the two friends walked together to at least catch up on each other's lives.
Humility sensed an aura that Red never had before. It wasn't strange. But it was familiar. His eyes looks more alive than could be. If he wasn't mistaken, he was indeed in love.
He IS IN LOVE.
So in love.
Like he've never seen before. One could say that he looks kind of...glowing.
It was quite easy to notice. His ears were red and his smile was evident. He was quite jolly too.
He smiles at him, knowing why the red reaper sounded lively at the moment. He was silent. Just listening to his friend narrate a long day of experience with Gabby. He was like a kid telling his father what good day he had. It was adorable, Humility thought.
Then his friend stopped from his tracks. That worried Humility a bit. Is something wrong?
RED: When did you first realized you're in love with someone?
The question caught him off guard and he began to blush. Why so suddenly? Why so suddenly turn the question on him?
His thoughts went straight to her.
Carrie.
Long white hair and lashes. Perfectly curved body. Wonderful and sweet loving voice. Purple eyes that could tame many men. Soft small hands. But that's not it.
When did he even first fell in love with her?
Well...
It was a long time. But he was sure why.
She was very vibrant, unique and would always stand out. Behind her beautiful and elegant looks, is a humble and optimistic personality. She was always cheerful, and straight forward. Things he admired the most about her.
She was persistent on her goals.
She was the first to show interest in him and do something about it.
At first he thought she was just like everybody else, but she acted upon her feelings.
She would try and reach him out. To make him smile more.
And because of that...
He too, slowly developed a crush on her.
HUMILITY: Hm, why do you wanna know, Red?
RED: Uh, just because?
HUMILITY: Well...I can't remember exactly how I did, it's embarrassing too, and it was a long time.
RED: Just recall a few moments or so. I'm waiting.
HUMILITY: Hm. But isn't Gabby waiting?
RED: OH come on. Please...
Humility gives him a serious look.
Red suddenly looked submissive.
HUMILITY: Just kidding.
RED: So are you gonna tell me or what?
HUMILITY: Maybe next time. I will write it because its too damn many for me to say without forgetting a thing or two in chronological order.
RED: Okay. I'll give you a week.
HUMILITY: Sure.
RED: Don't ever ever forget about it.
HUMILITY: *smiles* Okay. Okay.
...
He watched as his friend parted from him, his steps getting faster and faster as he becomes nearer and nearer to Gabby.
He felt happiness surged on him. But then he wondered how they could work. Should he remind Red of the fate they would be on? She's a mortal. She wouldn't live the same as he. Not even a quarter of Red's life...and that's gonna be Gabby's whole legacy.
Would he find another one after she passed?
Heck that won't be the hardest part. What if she falls for someone, someone who is like her and then leave his friend behind? But because of duty would be there, watching as she slip away from him.
It's so messed up.
He continued to think about it until he gets to Carrie. Carrie saw his troubled eyes then began to walk close to his position.
CARRIE: What's the matter?
He looks at her eyes, and he felt lost.
He grabs her by the hand then hugs her tight.
HUMILITY: Good thing I won't lose you anytime.
Carrie was surprised then pulled him away.
CARRIE: What's the matter, first? Let me know.
Humility felt hesitant at first, and half embarrassed of what he was worried about. But decided to trust her judgement and tell her anyways.
HUMILITY: Well...
