Gabby left. But since Humility felt afraid that Red would be tracked outside, he lets Harry guard her for the meantime.
While Red felt robbed of the remaining time he could spend with her, he continues to obey Humility's command after remembering his thoughts last night.
Gabby only gives him a smile, as she leaves to work.
HARRY: Don't worry bud, I got your girl.
RED: Stop with that or I'll tease you back.
Harry quickly leaves.
When they were no longer present, Humility contacts Zefarih and Hoshi for an update.
Deltha meanwhile, was just sitting on the couch,
the black lab Storm, in his lap.
DELTHA: I really want to keep this dog.
He says quietly, while petting its head.
Murasaki soon arrives, hair in a mess, indicating his stressed state living with two demons.
MURASAKI: Good thing I'm done publishing the latest comic chapter.
DELTHA: Well, we only need the two demons, pal. If you're so busy, you should have just left them with us and head back to whatever you're doing.
MURASAKI: Can't do that.
ZEFARIH: Now that I've been helping you with capturing the fairy who stole your flare, it may also very well target my son.
DELTHA: Huh?
ZEFARIH: Me and my son have been hanging out for a while.
MURASAKI: Yeah. At the meat shop. These two wants me to hoard-
ZEFARIH: Anyways, his scent is pretty similar to mine already and could be hurt without my presence.
MURASAKI: Ugh, I'm so embarrassed.
HOSHI: Ahahah, don't be. I'm like that too. My momma always have my back. And I was 50 years old when she completely trusted me to survive on my own.
MURASAKI: Well...wait, 50?
HOSHI: Any problem with that?
MURASAKI: Nah. It's just...wow.
HOSHI: Hmm, anyways, anyways, we were able to successfully recruit more people to help!
HUMILITY: Good. But...let them meet us on another spot. Gabby's apartment will stink of demons and it's really a bad thing.
RED: I'm coming too, right?
HUMILITY: 'Course you are.
Humility then looked again at Zefarih, this time more serious.
The change of face sent chills to the demon, as he very rarely see his purple eyes that way.
ZEFARIH: Spill your thoughts out. Stop with the scary eye-ing.
HOSHI: Can't believe you're afraid of him sir.
ZEFARIH: I'm just creeped out.
HUMILITY: How many did you reinforced again?
ZEFARIH: Well...I recruited five more.
RED: Only five?
ZEFARIH: Don't underestimate them. Those creatures are stronger than you might think.
RED: I apologize then. Anyways, who are they?
ZEFARIH: Well...let me proudly take you there.
MURASAKI: They're all...uh, in one place right?
HOSHI: I actually arranged them to stay in one place. Hope they aren't stubborn.
RED: How did you convinced them again?
ZEFARIH: Shika is friends with them. Of course they'd agree.
RED: Uh, just forget I said anything...it doesn't matter how you did it anyways.
HOSHI: Yeah, but I helped too you know! So I ask for one thing!
MURASAKI: Dude, we have livers at home.
HOSHI: No, not that. Just...where is the cute girl with white high lights and blue eyes again? I kinda picked a liking on her.
Red and Humility looked at each other knowingly. Fae?
RED: You like her?
HOSHI: Isn't it obvious?
HUMILITY: Hmm, I suppose we could arrange a meeting for both of you to thank you for your help. How about you Zefarih?
ZEFARIH: I'm fine. I'm just doing this for the sake of my son.
MURASAKI: ...
Hoshi quickly picks up the awkwardness in the room and thus, snapped his fingers to distract them. Brushing his pale blonde hair, he then points to the door.
HOSHI: So ey...we...we have some demons to meet, right?
HUMILITY: Oh, right...lead the way.
...
Ursus, a tall male demon, with gray skin covered with a furry cloak, waits impatiently.
He groans grumpily as he stomps the ground in anticipation.
Hada, on the other hand felt irritated not of the wait, but of how Ursus is acting.
She flies down from the tree she was once perched, careful not to ruin her white long dress on her landing.
HADA: Can you please stop with the foot noise? It's shaking the ground.
URSUS: Whatever chicken wings.
Ursus replied, not even daring to look at her.
HADA: How rude you are.
Her magenta eyes turned into pure white, as her hair began to levitate in anger.
Before anything serious happen, a Kiyoheme(shape shifting serpent) named Ao Hea interrupts the two.
Her long blue hair quickly wraps around the two demons' bodies, prevending them from colliding.
She hissed, shutting them both as she slithers closer to scare them from continuing with their feud.
AO: (Sssss...) Try to fight again and I'll crush your bones. (Ssssss...)
Hada immediately stops, not only does demon birds like her fear snakes, she also finds her tongue sticking out very creepy and weird.
Ursus wanted to break free and punch Hada who has been very salty on whatever he's doing since the first time they met but he knows better. Ao is definitely a strong foe.
Ao, contented, lets them go.
AO: You're lucky my hair is the only thing I've used to wrap you both with...next time it'd be my body.
She points to her thick blue body, in a form of a snake, which stretches up to 27 feet.
The Bakaneko, Mikussu, found it amusing and rather distracting.
For those who do not know, a Bakaneko is a shapeshifting cat spirit. They can turn into a human and a cat.
Miku, on that time is tranformed into a cat. Resting and laying on a log whilst grooming his paws. He have a calico pattern, with green lime eyes and a pink nose.
Upon seeing the fear in Hada's eyes, Miku laughs. Which felt embarrassing for the demoness.
HADA: You're too full of yourself. I don't even see you as of help. They need us to capture a dangerous fairy. And you, are just a cat.
MIKU: Oh? Becareful of what you say. I can burn your little wings.
AO: What did I just say?
HADA: S...sorry Ao.
While the four have already talked to each other. One demon did not bother trying.
It was a Dodomeki named Lin. Who felt insecure of how she looks. After all, she was a female demon with a not so pretty body overall. The main reason being her long arms covered in creepy looking bird eyes. She notices that her black hair was peeping out, so she puts them back on her dark red cloack.
Not only does she have a thousand eyes on her arms, she also have one on her forehead along with the normal pair of eyes.
It was impossible to not notice them since they were bright orange.
She looked rather sad and quiet, and didn't even want to be there. Only doing so since Shika was a nice friend of hers.
The shy demon suddenly felt shocked when she hears footsteps and saw six men approaching them. More so, she noticed a black labrador trailing close behind.
She didn't talk though, as she didn't want to be the focus of anyone's attention.
Deltha was handled by Murasaki, while Red and Humility watches the side.
Zefarih and Hoshi goes ahead to explain who the strangers were.
HADA: They...they don't smell like demons.
ZEFARIH: (Wait...Shika didn't explain? How did he even convince them with lacking details?)
HOSHI: They're actually reapers, pretty lady.
HADA: Rea...reapers?!
AO: What?? Why are you doing this to us? Such betrayal!
HOSHI: No, calm your horses down and listen...they aren't here to beat the sh*t out of you. I swear. And even if they would, why would we?
MIKU: Hahah, as long as they pet me and feed me, I think this aliance will be purr~fect...
Red looks at Hoshi with clear doubt.
RED: A talking cat?
HOSHI: Oi, don't you look down on him. He's strong.
RED: Okay, I trust you.
MIKU: I'm quite hurt that you think of me like that. Don't look down at me 'cause you can. That's foolish.
HUMILITY: Forgive us. We just are desperate.
URSUS: You're telling me that we should help you guys, the same ones who killed thousands of us?
RED: Yeah, apparently that's quite true.
URSUS: Yeah, I'm in. I hate my family anyways.
AO: I'm in too. I only fend for myself and Shika's tribe. I don't really care who I kill. I just want to crush anyone right now. It's been years since I battled one great foe.
HADA: I'm okay with this as well.
MIKU: Me too. Just so I can prove my strenght.
The crowd then looks at Lin. Who immediately turned red in embarrassment.
LIN: I...I'm always in for this...just so I can repent my sins.
HOSHI: Alright then, the pretty girl agreed. Now, let's go on to the ability assessment and planning. I'm hyped!
ZEFARIH: Keep your voice down for evil's sake.
HOSHI: Oops. Sorry my bad.
Red shooks his head while Humility watches warily from behind.
After all, these are still demons.
Decietful, powerful and cunning.
