"With this invention, world domination wouldn't seem like a dream anymore." declared the Man wearing a lab coat. He stood in front of a messy table, the room he was inside in was spacious with men observing what he was creating. The men looked like bodyguards hired to serve as protection for the man.
Rrrrriiiiiinnnnggggg~
"What the hell?!" He exclaimed as his phone rang, he answered the call wondering who was the unknown caller, "Who is this?"
"Hey it's me your longtime friend since we were 7." said the unknown caller with a familiar voice.
"I've already cut ties with everyone, who the hell are you?!" shouted the man wearing a lab coat, his eyes wandering all over the place.
"Oh, silly you, you don't remember me at all? That hurts man. I'm watching you guys right now." said the unknown caller, a chuckle could be heard as he finished spoking.
"WHERE ARE YOU? SHOW YOURSELF!" As the man wearing a lab coat shouted those words, the men in the vicinity instantly took a stance and became more vigilant of their surroundings.
"Hey didn't aunt tell you, planning world domination ain't fun because its cliché. Well I can't blame you if that's what the author wrote." Apollo said in a mocking tone.
"What the hell are you talking about? SHOW YOURSELF!" The man shouted once more.
"Alright, alright, Sheesh. So excited to see your childhood friend?" joked Apollo.
Vwoooooooom.
Suddenly a tear in space appeared before the group of men. Their mouths were agape as they witnessed the phenomenon. A figure stepped out of the opening, It was a man with a plain white mask that has a poorly drawn smiley face, two eye holes are present and inside them shone emerald like eyes. He was wearing a plain black body tight suit which clearly showed his lean figure. A dagger could be seen holstered on both sides of his body.
"Wow, the paragraph above. I've seen that somewhere. How lazy." mumbled Apollo as the opening behind him closed, he looked at the man with a lab coat, "Hey, this is our first time seeing each other, brings back memories eh?"
The man wearing a lab coat felt the sense of urgency that they must kill this man instantly for he knows too much already. He was aware that his nonchalant attitude was going to be his weakness, if he striked now he could easily end Apollo's life.
"KILL HIM!!!!" Shouted the man. All the men around him pulled out their guns and pointed it at Apollo, ready to fire.
"Oh, we have guns this time. I surrender..." Apollo raised his hands in the air, "Author, cue fight scene." he whispered.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Somewhere in a faraway land, there stood 12 figures. Each of them were covered by a veil of light making it impossible to see their true appearance. They all surrounded a crystal ball which was showing Apollo slaughtering men while speaking nonsense to himself.
"Did we give him too much power?" Asked the figure with a feminine voice.
"He's been time travelling and preventing crime in all ages, I say he's a hero." answered the figure with a childlike voice.
"It looks like he's mentally insane. He's been talking like we're inside his novel. I pity him, this must be the effects of having power reach your mind." Added the figure with an old man's voice.
All of the figure of light shook for a moment, if one could see below the veil, they must have shook their heads in unison; looking at Apollo with pity.
"Alright, since the other nine are silent. It looks like we're going to let him keep his powers." said the feminine voice, "For now."
-------------------------------------------------------------
Apollo stood in the middle of the littered corpses surrounding him. Heads were scattered all over the floor and blood stained his daggers.
"M-my fight scene..." he mumbled in a sullen tone, "I can't believe you've done this." he kept mumbling while slowly approaching the last man left inside the room. It was the man wearing a lab coat.
"Any last words?" asked Apollo, the man stood silent, "Just hurry up already, I want this chapter to end." He complained.
"You haven't won yet, have you forgotten about this?!" The man quickly grabbed the invention to his right and raised it up. It was some sort of mechanical helmet that had complex circuitry and is seemingly made from non-earthly material. The helmet exuded an ominous aura.
"GRAHAHAHAHAHA" The man manically laughed as he slowly dawned the helmet. As it made contact with his head the room was instantly filled with blinding light.
"Well, I could've stopped him from wearing it, but I wanted to see what would happen." Apollo whispered to himself.
Like a lie, the light that filled the room suddenly disappeared. The man wearing a lab coat stood there quiescently. He was exuding a menacing atmosphere just by standing still, something was amiss. "Oh, look it's a JoJo reference."
"Am I supposed to kill this guy now or...." He waited for a few seconds for something to happen before continuing, "...Is he going to do bad villain stuf—"
"I've awoken." The man spoke in a deeper tone than usual.
"I knew it, I should've waited a few more seconds before continuing." complained Apollo.
"Are you perhaps talking to the Author?" The man asked, curiosity was present in his tone.
"Ye—, wait what did you say again?" Apollo cut himself off and asked a question, he needed to hear what the man just asked.
"The Author. Are you talking with him?" The man repeated, slightly annoyed.
"H-how do you know about him?" Apollo asked in shock, he thought he was the only one who recognized the 'Author's' existence, "Well, I'm the protagonist."
"My invention has allowed me to transcend humanity and gave me knowledge about everything." He said in an ominous tone.
"It made you all-knowing, but you still have no name." mocked Apollo, scratching his head.
The man flinched, before continuing, "I have gained a name from the author himself." He responded, confident of himself.
"What is it then?" Apollo asked, doubtful of the man's response.
"Call me," The man wearing a lab coat stood tall and puffed his chest while pointing a thumb at himself, he stood still for a few seconds before finally speaking, "Eros."
"What the hell you took that straight from my prologue?!" exclaimed Apollo, his hands tightly gripping the daggers he was holding.
"Blame it on the author's lazy writing." Eros casually said.
"Yeah, that's true." Apollo nodded, "Anyways, what the does that make you then?" Apollo asked while adjusting his mask.
"The antagonist." Eros spoke in an unusually lower tone.
"You didn't have to deepen your voice, right?" Apollo winced as he heard him spoke.
"Well, it only means I'm the only person capable of killing you now." Eros shrugged.
"Uh-oh, that does pose a threat." said Apollo rubbing his chin.
Suddenly Eros disappeared from his place and instantly appeared in front of Apollo. His fist hastily approaching Apollo's body.
BOOM!
The fist landed and Apollo's body instantly shot out the building they were in and it took multiple walls for him to finally stop the force that punched him.
"Hey, I could've just literally defended myself instead of taking the blow Author." Apollo complained, coughing up blood in the process.
Eros instantly appeared in front of him again as he laid prone in the rubble.
"Oh, how the tables have turned. What are you going to do now Apollo?" Eros said condescendingly.
Apollo slowly stood up from the rubble and patted his shoulders to remove the dust, "I'd do what a main character always does." he spoke wiping the blood off of his mask, "I'll leave it up to you, next chapter's me to beat this guy up." he raised his hand and gave a thumbs up.
"Wait that's, Illegal!" Eros exclaimed.
