Chapter Ninety Five

'Other than that ,forget being king because you will never have Rhian ' .

These words penetrated deep into Roman's heart as he stood still in disdain .

The main reason why enmity rose between Prince Roman and Prince Wales was because ,Prince Wales got married to Princess Rhian ; the woman Prince Roman wanted to marry .

When he thinks of all the times Rhian rejected him for his brother ,he hates him the more .

On the night when Prince Wales was married to Princess Rhian ,Roman angrily drank himself to hell as he ended up in bed with the Priest's daughter , Jessie .

There was no doubt that Jessie loved Prince Roman ,however ,Prince Roman only saw her as a friend and nothing else .

When they used to be kids ,Prince Roman would go to her hut and pluck some fruits of his favourites .

Jessie would normally pluck them for him and they would end up spending some time with each other while enjoying the fruits .

For all these years they spent together ,Jessie could only hide her feelings for him because she knew that she was not his standard .

He kept talking about Rhian's rejection and she kept consoling him even though it hurt her a lot .

The night Roman badged into her hut ,she was so surprised and she asked ;

"What are you doing here , Roman ?

It's so late at night and you shouldn't be here ,she said in concern .

'Please kiss me ,please hug me and don't leave me alone ,he uttered softly and heart broken into tears .

Jessie fell defeated by his words and leaned closely into him ' .

Waking up from his sleep and rubbing his hands on his face and down through his hair ,he realised that a young lady with messy hair and slender body whose body was curved in a beautiful shape was lying under his sheets and that too ,naked .

'Oh my God ! ...he exclaimed ,it's Jessie ,he said with pounding heart .

Taking a second look at her beautiful and attractive body ,he recalled his words the night earlier ;

'Please hug me ,please kiss me and don't leave me alone ....'

Holy shit ...!

How could I go to bed with her ? ,he questioned himself sitting upright in the bed .

While he had both hands covering his face in shame ,regret and embarrassment ,a hand pulled both hands down off his face .

'I know you don't love me ,and I know that what happened between us last night is something you are regretting now .

But I know my place Roman ,you are a Prince and I'm just the mere daughter of a priest .

I serve you Roman but for me ,it's just a delight being your friend .

Trust me ,no one will hear about this and I promise you that I will stay away from you for your safety .

Consider what happened last night as something which never happened or better still ,something which meant nothing .

You got to go now ,in fact ,my father will return anytime soon ,poor Jessie was heartbroken as she dressed herself up .

For her ,losing herself to her love was a great experience but then ,it was Roman's regretful and embarrassing moments of his life .

Thinking about the consequences of losing herself to a man got her mind blowing .

As a daughter of a priest ,breaking your virginity before marriage is abominable and punishable .

She wondered what her father's reaction would be once she told him about what happened between Roman and her and so she didn't say anything to him once he returned .

It was the first time of her entire life that she had kept a secret from her father and it was killing her slowly each time she thought of it .

As days passed by ,she was scared of getting pregnant so she constantly checked her period .

Constant vomiting ,fatigue ,spitting and increased weight with swollen face and feet brought to her awareness that she was carrying another life inside her .

"No ...she knelt down broken in disdain recalling her father's words ....' stolen water is sweet and bread eaten in secret is pleasant but little did he know that death awaits him in hell .'

"Jessie ,the evil that men do live after them and the evil that women do live in front of them ...." these were her mother's last words before kicking the bucket .

'I want this child but I can't tarnish Roman's image and name and i don't want my dad to be punished and criticized for my deeds so I will end everything here before the situation gets out of hand .

I brought this upon myself by falling for Roman's words so I will have to take care of my problems .

Forgive me little angel ,I do want you but situational demands doesn't ....she said and broke up into tears .'

Forgive me ,she uttered in tears as she took in few herbs to terminate her pregnancy .

After few hours ,there was a knock on the door ...

"Knocks ....knocks ....knocks "

Jessie found it difficult to open up the door because she was weak .

Feeling reluctant to stand up knowing it wasn't her father who was at the door because he had gone on an exploit mission , she lay back in bed .

"Bang ...."

The door was forced opened with a bang .She still laid back in bed as she heard footsteps drawing closer to her .

She still wasn't pushed to stand up ,however ,she tilted her head in disbelieve as she looked at the man who stood in front of her .

She didn't expect to set her eyes on him ever again .

"Roman ,yo.....you are here ...she hesitated a bit and let out a feeling of relief ,however ,she couldn't hold back her tears .

She put her hand on her lower abdomen and felt no movement .

She just pulled back her hands ,rubbed her tears away and fell to her knees in front of Roman in a lacerated manner .

"Go away Roman ,go away because you are my greatest mistake ."
