Chapter 39: ANGELS

The angels looked down,

Truly the world was something to frown,

Despite the huge buildings built so tall,

People makes countless sins that now built a wall-

Between God and man,

Between heaven and land.

What bothers Eleazar, was the fact that one particular man ought to know the cure for mortality,

Ought to bend the rules of the given reality,

Despite God punishing Eve and those who challenged him, quite many,

Here this man goes, spending his time and money,

For something so ambigous...

He miscalculated the fatality.

And when the monsters now wander,

Souls trapped in their rotting enclosure,

Eleazar dare not question further,

When the ever-forgiving God sent him to save these sinful creatures.

It's not like he haven't met wonderful humans,

It's not like he didn't love humans,

It's just that...those humans he grew to love were either long gone or...

Quite few.

Even if he was sure the world could end,

He truly doesn't know if it truly would,

After all, what's the point of God sending him to the humans to fend?

If He knew it would definitely crumble and end?

Most Angels, if not all, have wondered why God loves these humans greatly,

Eleazar knew if he was God, even temporarily,

One simple sin, or mistrust against him by his creations, would be enough for him to destroy them,

With no hesitation, not even a problem.

So as he flew to watch the world God created a safehaven,

He wanted to cry, how far have it fallen!

He could smell the smoke from burning houses,

The wails of people calling for help,

It was heart-breaking, chilling,

As others pray hard, apologizes, shouting!

And little by little, Eleazar was reminded of why God loves them, cares for them,

Even if humans praise Him only,

if good happens, and praises Him only shortly.

Suddenly, he smelled a stench on one of the buildings,

It was no ordinary scent.

It smells like demons.

He transformed as a spider and crept on one of the cracks,

He was surprised to see Ken and the others,

With the company of devils.

His eyes widened in disbelief,

How easily those mortals are fooled,

He flew away as far as he could,

And waited for night, to set the mood.

...

(Present time)

Ken panics, surely with Eleazar wounded,

Their defences would be limited,

The devils might smell them, but what can they do?

So he encouraged others to pray,

"Believe in what God can do for you,"

They all prayed solemnly,

Tears falling shortly,

They tried their best to sound sincere,

Although they were all enveloped by fear.

Suddenly, Eleazar awoke,

His body felt refreshed, and new,

He looked at the humans, eyes still shut,

He smiled and looked above,

"So this is why God gave them a shot..."
